As someone who just upgraded from G27 pedals with GT Eye brake spring, i gotta say it's a huge step up with loadcell. Feels natural after couple hours of running laps. Using 85% brake force in Fanatec software. Also wearing aqua shoes for that precision feel 🏁

Just ordered a set of these after using my G29 pedals for the past 5 years. I cannot wait to get these. Also looking forward to not having to worry about my pots dying on me anymore, or having my throttle constantly flicker and my brake constantly come on when I'm not touching it on the straights.

DIY tip, you can exchange the clutch(previous brake pedal) with the gas pedal, just look it up online, it was easy even for an amateur like me, and i like the feeling of the gas pedal alot more now, stiffer spring, have fun.

Thanks for the review. Did you ever perform the RC damper mod on the throttle pedal? I recall you mentioned you were going to and then review the DIY mod. I did it recently, purchased off the shelf parts not 3D printed, and it is a nice upgrade, used the same parts on both throttle and standard brake (don't need to do the later if you have LC brake). There are instructions on Fanatec FB for the hardware parts other than the pair of RC gas dampers, that you can source off the shelf a large American hardware store for 10 USD, but you can also 3D print the parts. The RC dampers are adjustable for the spring strength, with a large dial that makes the spring compress more or less (always linear, not progressive). You can also slide the bottom portion of where the damper mounts to the pedal base forward or back about 1 inch to make it so the damper is mounted more vertical or lower down to add or subtract the resistance, simply based on how the shock is mounted at the bottom to increase the angle or decrease it to make it stronger or weaker.

Yes indeed, I have installed the 3D printed version of the RC damper mod on the throttle pedal after finishing this review. I'ts really good. That's coming in a separate video.

Do you have a link for this? I'd be very interested as I just got this pedal set.

@@YourItalianJobthe popular 3D printing website with "verse" in the name has the CSL Pedals throttle mod STL file. KZbin blocks links that are placed in comments like this, I already tried a few times to include the FB post.

I've watched several of your videos including the mod videos. Which mod kit is your favorite for all pedals?

Great review! Been looking forward to this one. So the question is which do you like better, these Fanatec CSLs or your Thrustmaster T-LCMs with your custom brake mod? Being roughly the same price point I'm curious which you prefer?
@SimRacingCorner2 жыл бұрын
The T-LCM brake with the mod feels more natural than the CSL LC brake to me. I fully expect I can mod the CSL brake and improve it significantly though.

Not for me to be honest. Bought mine since I'm upgrading to the csl DD from a T300. I pretty much only drift and the load cell pedal is way too stiff for my preference. Even got the 3Drap elastomers which are supposed to give it more travel. Even with that, I can barely press it down. I'm not on a fixed rig/chair, so that might have some impact, but it's firm enough to where I can still put decent pressure on it. I'll be selling it and buying the clutch kit and using the normal brake.
@DrR1pper2 жыл бұрын
Which 3Drap elastomers did you use (Linear/Progressive) and 1 or 2? Thanks.
@darg6822 жыл бұрын
@@DrR1pper 2x linear ones. My chair isn't fixed/attached to my stand, so I think I'm not able to put pressure on it "ideally" Even if it was a little softer and had more travel, I still think I wouldn't like it.
@jkristia20112 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, the CSL load cell pedal is useless out of the box. No feel for how much for you apply since the pedal requires a strong force just to move the slightest. I have just ordered the 3Drap mod (an additional $50 with shipping). Hopefully that will help.
@SimRacingCorner2 жыл бұрын
I'll be reviewing the 3DRAP mod sometime in the near future.
@jkristia20112 жыл бұрын
@@SimRacingCorner I got mine yesterday. 2 progressive. The pedals definitely feels better, but I would have preferred a bit more travel, so I think for me 1 linear and 1 progressive would have been better. Unfortunately for the price, I only ordered 2 progressive, so I will stick with that.
@SimRacingCorner2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I have sets of both the linear and progress mods to test out. I'll try out all the possible configurations in my review. How are your pedals mounted?
@jkristia20112 жыл бұрын
@@SimRacingCorner I have the GT Omega Apex stand and a regular chair on carpet. I can put a good amount of pressure on the pedals before my chair move.
@SimRacingCorner2 жыл бұрын
@@jkristia2011 Yeah, I totally understand why you needed to soften that brake if you're using a wheel stand.
