I have the same setup as you, and I can recommend some upgrades that I picked that have made the most significant difference. First, the CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit is a must-do, in my opinion, as the upgrade of a load cell pedal is a game-changer, and you get to repurpose your existing brake as a clutch. The second one is the QR1 Wheel-Side ClubSport Quick Release Adapter. This adapter upgrades the adapter that connects your wheel to the base from a piece of plastic to a full aluminum body and ball lock mechanism combined with a torque notch. This adapter eliminates the creeks and clicks you get from the plastic adapter.

Great vid mate. When connecting the frame for the peddles I found that if you undo the saddle type clamps "almost" all the way they clip onto the seat frame base very easily. Also make sure the clamps are moved apart as far as possible prior to tightening as this will aid in giving better stability/rigidity when using the peddles.

I had this setup too but moved on to a Playseat Trophy. I could never get comfortable. Felt like I was sitting on a hard bench, my bottom would get numb if I played very long and it didn't hold me in place, felt like I was always sliding forward. Folding/unfolding is a huge hassle and potentially hazardous as it can collapse and flip out the legs and pull cables. I ripped out a pedal port one time. @@ChoccoMonstahad to get a different one in the end. I realised last minute that the wheelbase I bought was 15Nm which is 2 over. I don’t think this knocks the chair though, the fact it can handle 13 is going to cover like 90% of the market, and this seems to be the only foldable cockpit I could find that can go that high.
@dunboy78742 жыл бұрын
Hi, I've got the same set up, only with the 8nm pack and the load cell, the rig can handle the 8nm for the most part but if you use a really powerful car like the dodge tomahawk or pretty much any Gr1 car then there is a LOT of movement in the frame. I have to completely pack it anyway and reassemble everyday and I have to say packing it away isn't to bad and only takes about 3 or 4 minutes but putting it back together is a much harder experience. Even after doing it over 20 times I'm still struggling on my own. Much easier with someone to help. I big tip I would give anyone using this set up is to remove the steering wheel before collapsing it down as once the quick releases are undone the frame becomes very floppy and the weight of the wheel base makes it swing down and you could easily damage the wheel as I found out......I broke the plastic quick release, luckily it was a cheap and quick fix. Also another tip if you have the load cell or the clutch and find the throttle too light, is to swap the peddals around. So the old brake pedal/clutch is mounted in the throttle which has more tension on the spring. Obviously this means the clutch becomes very light but I don't use it so not a big deal for me and the extra tension in the throttle is a game changer. Overall it's a great set up for people like my self who haven't got room for a permanent set up. But assembling with the wheel base and pedals in place isn't for the light hearted and is a bit of pain, way harder than the playsest challenge. The DD pro it's self is amazing and a HUGE upgrade from my G29, highly recommend it. If anyone has any questions I'm happy to answer.

Some great tips mate, thanks. 👍🏽. I’m kind of lucky that I have the space, not to fold away, as you’re right, it’s more of a pain setting up than packing away. I have a part two video where I have now used Rachet straps, which does a great job in securing the entire system, but again, would be more time if having to undo and redo. All I do is unplug, lift up pedal base and push to the side. I don’t even open the front part to get in as it’s all strapped up now.

i have this same setup but with a loadcell pedal, and the 8nm boost pack. I think you made a slight mistake while building though, the strap you have going from your front legs to the wheel bar should only be in that configuration if its folded on the floor, it should be on both front and back legs of the chair and the back legs should be 90 degrees to the floor for the most rigidity. I get absolutely no flex, bunny hop or anything, it's worth experimenting with the setup a bit more just to dial it in although setting this seat up can be a bit clumsy when nothing is locked in, you get used to it quick. hope this helps!

Hello, I’m interested in buying fanatec gear for my Ps5. Can I configure the wheel in Ps5 on app or in game? Or do I have to configure wheel on a pc or laptop. I’d really appreciate it if someone can let me know. I currently own Logitech g29 but for some reason, it won’t work properly for most games. Unresponsive. Only works flawlessly on dirt rally and dirt 4. Oh I used it on PS4 but now I have Ps5. I’m planning on plugging in my g29 but as I battered dirt rally and dirt 4 for 6 months, I’m kinda putting it off as I want to play some other games but wheel just won’t work properly. Some say I must configure on pc and some say that that won’t work for ps4 . They say the settings made on pc will be lost on PS4 because it’s not a pc. So I just dunno. I don’t fancy spending hours going through all wheel settings, in game and getting knowwhere

I don't know about Logitech, but for the Fanatec DD Pro, you only need to connect the wheelbase to a PC the one time, and that is only because you have to update the driver. All the configuration of the wheel is done on the PS5

@@ChoccoMonsta oh, that sounds great. Oh, this may sound silly but when buying a Fanatec wheel, does it always come with pedals and the wheel base? If not, is it possible to mix and match Fanatec gear? And I heard about Fanatec price increase, recently, do you know if this is true? I remember looking at Fanatec gear, last year and it was really expensive then, so I really hope the price increase, isn’t too high

@@ChoccoMonsta sorry to be a pain but I have 1 more question. Do you think it will benefit me if I plug in my Logitech g29 into pc to configure and then plug in Ps5? Or it will only work if I was to play on the pc? Maybe that will make it more responsive on Ps5 Thanks 👍

Your wheel is too far away from you and you should be at 9 & 3 not 10 & 2

Thanks for the tips, I’ll try 10/2 and let you know. With the wheel, I don’t like it too close to me, just a personal preference
