The Mclaren rim is also mostly plastic, but I really like the look of that one. This GT rim doesn't appeal to me at all, nice option for PS5 owners though.

Loving all the new products Fanatec is launching. IMO Thrustmaster is rapidly becoming obselete in the mid-high end sim market. Soo much so that I'm replacing my TS-PC racer with the CSL DD

I have been using a G29 on PS5 for about a year now and have been ready to upgrade for some time. I went ahead and purchased the express bundle so I should have it around December 17th. Really looking forward to using this bundle to play GT7 to death, and use it as a jumping off point for more advanced sim gear in the future. (Load cell pedals, GT3 wheel, 8nM boost kit, etc)

I'm not sure this will be particularly popular. For Fanatec sake I hope it is, but I am not convinced. It will hinge on the wheel compatibility on PS5 beyond the Gran Turismo.

I left the Fanatec eco system a year ago but a starting point of $700 seems a good deal as long as you don't have any quality issues.

Yes. Every fanatec accessory is compatible. And you can use rhe for every game in comp mode.

Thrustmaster's 799 USD belt-driven TGT 2 got back stabbed 😂😂😂 if thrustmaster release TGT2 after this i believe the price will be lower in order to stay competitive. Now it's no brianer to choose DD pro

Hey Mike. Was wondering how you like the DD Pro so far having it for a while now? I have used thrustmaster TX/xbox/pc base and add on wheels with mods and adaptors so I could use it on multople platforms and I am ready to trade up and purchase this package to be ready for GT7 and ofcourse continue my PC racing. How do you like the pedals/loadcell? I have thrustmasters load cell and have been happy with it so far. Thanks as always and have a great weekend of racing.

Not iracing you can assign those buttons for brake bias adjustment wing adjustment on the fly while racing all kinds of uses for it

What do you think fellow SimRacers? I'm thinking on the big switch from Thrustmaster to FANATEC because the DD technology, but the switch is pricey as hell... 🤔 Let me explain my dilemma: Now I have the Thrustmaster T-300RS with the T-LCM load cell pedals on my rig, with 3 different Thrustmaster rims. I play on PC with one OLED TV, and Gran Turismo on PlayStation 4 Pro. (This shows my budget for simracing at the moment...) So if I want to switch, I need to pay minimum 850 euro for the DD (5nm) and the FANATEC load cell pedals upgrade (load cell is a must have!) Meanwhile the Thrustmaster T-GT II Servo base (on its own) is half of that price = 450 euro. And honestly I really need just a better wheelbase... T-GT II base is not direct drive of course, but it's 6,5 newtonmeters of torque (measured by Ron). The FANATEC DD Pro is weaker (5nm) but it's direct drive. And of course I can buy the 8nm power supply but that's another +150 euro, so the switch from Thrustmaster to FANATEC in my case is about 1000 euro. What do you think fellow SimRacers? Is it worth to invest twice as much for the direct drive???

Why not see what TM announces before the end of the year. They are supposed to announce their DD offering by the end if 2021. Trust me, I know your pain a bought a Fanatec Porsche Turbo S wheel in 2010 and just now upgraded to a csl dd, but only because my wheel pretty much died. If you 300rs functions I'd suggest waiting to see what thrustmaster has up their sleeves.

I made the switch there are people that own the DD 1 that's 1200$ and are still buying the new CSL DD base because it's alot faster and smoother

Great review any chance of a list of compatible games on PS4 and PS5? I have one pre ordered with load cell and 180 power just wondered what games I can run with this on ps5 and nobody has done a list of games that will work

Hey Mike, great video. Can you tell us if it's possible to map those green, red buttons on PC? Because I play racing games on PC and Gran Turismo as well. So would be nice to use the steering wheel on other games with all buttons available.

The 4 up and down buttons on the wheel are for brake bias adjustment mid race wing adjustment on dirt sprints in GT 7 there are 4 things you can adjust while racing that's why there on that GT rim

From what I've heard you can map the buttons for PC and playstation but you will need a Xbox compatible wheel rim to play on Xbox and be able to map those buttons

Great review as always Mike! This has seriously piqued my interest. I play on consoles currently and use a CronusMax Drivehub so I can play one wheel on everything. I wonder if there will be Drivehub support? If not, I'll probably go with a CSL DD as I play ACC on Xbox the most and will upgrade to Series X first before adding a PS5 later. I figured you & Fanatec had something up your sleeves when you posted your load cell pedals review 😂 These are great bundles. But, again, why are they making PS owners wait even further? March? And that's if you're lucky enough to get in the first wave of preorders. Yeah, I couldn't keep waiting, so I forked over the cash for a Podium before this was finally announced.

I just ordered the bundle it's actually a pretty damn good deal when the dd1 cost 1200$ and people are saying this wheel Base is just as good if not better im happy with it the difference between this and t300rs Gt is night and day
