A hint for those having trouble getting the Rally1 cars to recharge: adding just 1% of deadzone to the accelator did it for me. (Maybe worth mentioning: I've upgraded to the clubsport v3 pedals and added a damper kit to the throttle for GT3 racing. Maybe that's got something to do with it, not sure though.) Anyway, thank you SO much for your setups and settings guides - I've enjoyed them a lot over the years!

I think I have found pretty good settings for the CSL Elite, playing on PC but should apply. I have the V1 (not the one with the pixelated faceplate that currently shows on the website but I think are very similar). I also don't use fanlab as really more settings than the CSL line offers. Sen- Auto Ffb- 100 Dri- -5 FEI- 80 FOR- 80 (Play with FEI and FOR the most for how much weight youi want) SPR- OFF DPR- 100 In game (I read a good Reddit thread on this and tuning the game for your own setup and have a few values slightly opposite of this video as they make the steering feel heavy and harder for me to find the limit of grip, namely the Wheel friction and Tire friction, maybe because CSL Elite doesn't have the granularity of a DD wheel) Torque 98 Wheel friction 15 Tyre fr 80 Suspension 90 (fairly personal here on how much you want to feel the road surface and susp effects. I turn this down a tad at constantly bumpy places like estiona and up for pure tarmac like japan) Tyre slip 60 engine 10 (purely cosmetic or if you want ffb when its time to shift but gets in way of a CSLs capability imo) collision 60 (this is down quite a bit from video but see note above) soft lock 100 hope this helps! thread reference: www.reddit.com/r/EASPORTSWRC/s/x6vlW5mfhK I feel like I can find the limit on all surfaces with these and still catch tarmac oversteer, which I think is a weak point in the games ffb model

@RALLYTechnical Жыл бұрын
The simple answer to that is.... Torque and quality of feedback. Logitech wheel only has around 2Nm of torque, whereas the GT DD Pro has 8Nm. So to get any kind of resistance out of a logitech wheel you have to keep that setting high. For the vibration FFB the logitech motor is simply slow and vague or unresponsive to subtle road feeling. So all of that has to be dialled up to get the tiniest amount of road feel out of it. Whereas A DD wheel will pick up on the finer details at any level really, its just the overall force it kicks out that changes.

The difference is mind blowing, honestly. Totally worth the money if your sim racing all the time. It was difficult going back to the G29 as you don't get any detail in the feedback compared to these DD wheels. 8Nm is perfect for rally however if you do GT3 racing as well you'll want something that puts out around 15Nm. In general the H-Pattern shifting does not work at all. (in the settings I can see that the gears are recognized, but the cars ignore the shifter position. Also there is a strange issue with older cars that have H-Pattern shifters. With these cars the clutch seems to be active always. The car revs freely when I do. Lt press the clutch and does not accelerate. With modern cars the clutch work as intended at the start. Any ideas?
@RALLYTechnical Жыл бұрын
I have no issues here on pc. Firstly make sure the firmware is up to date on the wheel base. Secondly make sure to re-map all the inputs and shifter positions. Thirdly, check your deadzones. Typically the handbrake deadzone causes the car to rev freely if set to zero.

Hi, unfortunately I do not own a thrustmaster wheel to make settings with. Judging by what I came up with for fanatec and logitech wheels they should be pretty similar. The T300 RS puts out 4-4.5Nm. So I would guess at the self aligned torque being around 65-75. 34-6 on the wheel & tyre friction like the GT DD Pro settings. I don't know how detailed the feedback is on your wheel so I don't know if you should try the higher Logitech vibration settings or the lower GT DD Pro settings. Obviously I am just guessing but it would be appreciated if you could give that suggestion a try and let me know how it feels 👍

This maybe a stupid question where do you go to edit FFb settings?
@RALLYTechnical Жыл бұрын
there is no such thing as stupid questions. Just a question you don't know the answer too. Options and extra's/controls/Select your control/edit and you should be there.

I have experienced on a few tracks that the car will not move forward unless you put it in reverse first then into 1st, has anyone else noticed this.

Yes, I need to have it set on start assist and the clutch needs to be set at manual. I hope a patch fixes this.

Yes, at first it would start moving at all in rally school. The issue seems to be the handbrake, play with the deadzone and saturation. I left the latter high than recommended in this video, adjusting this fixed it for me.
