That's still bullshit when you realize it's virtually the same exact DD base model that PC users can get for $400, just a wheel with different button layout....... Same pedals as well. Is there really $300 in the wheel buttons for the PlayStation version? Lol

@@spawnandbatman6975 the base yes, the wheel no, you would need to buy a extra wheel that is xbox compatible in order to use it (just like the video explained that for xbox the compatibility chip is inside the wheel while for Playstation the chip is inside the DD base) so essentially you have 1 GT CSL DD Pro base for PS, Xbox & PC while having two wheels, one for each console but both wheels will also work for PC.

I’m actually so mad at both fanatec and Xbox. For some reason rev lights don’t work on an Xbox, and also many of the buttons will not work or either be duplicates of other buttons. 😭😭😭

O brasileiro n se valoriza pô, o único motivo desses DDs gringos serem caros é por causa do dólar e tributação, mas o produto BR é como se fosse feito fora do país, custa em dólar e foi tributado, mas foi feito no sul do país, vai entender. Espero que vc consiga comprar o seu mano sem problemas.

I'm currently trying to find this kind of thing out I just got the csl p1 V2 witch clearly states is for Xbox PC and ps yet soon as I connected it all up it won't work. Currently updating my laptop to see if the wheel will work as the bundle stated it'll work on Xbox yet according to everything I read my csl p1 V2 won't work 😭 I don't understand y they put Xbox ready in a bundle if it won't work seems pretty stupid to me

@@briarios666 according to fanatecs website, that wheel will work for pc, and will work for playstation if you have a playstation compatible base, but will not work for xbox. Fanatecs xbox compatibility chip is in the wheel itself, and playstation compatibility chip is in the wheel base

The big question is if all these are PS friendly why do they have XBOX buttons and XBOX alpha keys rather than PS shapes. It's so confusing

Because Xbox compatibility comes from a chip in the wheel and they can only licence it if it has Xbox buttons.

PS ready means it works with PlayStation if you plug it I. To a PlayStation compatible base

Thank you for this. I have a couple of questions. Do the led light strips (rev indicators) work with titles like formula 1 or Forza? I'm seeing a lot of trouble with my SF1000, only being utilized by the formula 1 titles and totally useless for Forza. The buttons are mappable but maybe not as customizable as you would think. You can't use the paddle clutches as right stickfor free look left and right, for instance, except in one rally game I can't recall at this time. I think maybe the old 360 version of dirt? Anyway, because if some serious build quality issues (I just had to perform surgery on my ts-xw and I've had it less than 7 months) I'm looking to figure out what I'm buying next, and I'm sticking with Xbox, so my choices are extremely limited. Any info about what will and won't work is crucial, because I couldn't find info on the thrustmaster stuff beforehand and I'm regretting buying into their ecosystem.

On the Xbox, no. There is still very limited functionality even tho the wheels are "compatible"

I’m using PlayStation, but it’s my understanding that with Fanatec, XBOX does not support telemetry still. The digital screen on the wheel and the rev lights do not work, even if the XBOX branded wheel has them. Those lights/screens do work when used with PlayStation or PC though. Also, it should be noted that while you can adjust settings on the fly with the screen on the wheel, you will need to borrow a recent Windows PC/Laptop to firmware update your Fanatec gear.

Yes, this is a knonw issue from XBOX, there is a lot of limitaions for controllers which block most of wheel functions. But there is a good news that later there will be update which remove/reduce those limitations. It will be released with Forza Motorosport 8.

Hi, I remember seen a secuencial shifter that can be connected to the base directly, also I had to modify my fanatec handbrake and installed a hall sensor that goes directly to the wheel base. Lastly there are some paddle shifters that can connect to you wheel. Haven’t seen an h shifter or pedal yet

be aware FANATEC buyers, if you are XBOX user, and you are planning to buy a "Fancy Fanatec Wheel" they are beautiful and great constructed pieces of gear, but for XBOX, it won't fully work, you will be stuck only with (a,b,x,y, the shift paddles, gas, brake and clutch) ANYTHING ELSE WONT WORK. (No Led lights, no Display, no rotary switches, no micro switches, no D pad without adding an A Button next to a selection) ALL THIS buttons wont work, because you can't remap them or aren't recognized ... I did bought a CSL elite, with a Formula v2.5 wheel and pedals.... They are not cheap, so they feel solid and looks great in the rig, the wheelbase CSL ELITE is amazing.... But in XBOX, the Wheel has less working buttons and leds, than the cheap Logitech. FANATEC needs to upgrade drivers for XBOX users, just like the other brands that already solved the compatibility issues.

@@spawnandbatman6975 You'll need the Grand Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base, an Xbox compatible steering wheel, and the pedal set up of your choice. Shifter and handbrake are both optional.

I have an Xbox rally wheel, a CSL Elite base, V3 Inverted and a PS4. The wheel works, but it works with some buttons differently then what it says. I could switch them, but then on PC it will still be a different button. Not all buttons can move. My problem is I have the Fanatec stationary shifter paddles and TM H pattern as well as a TM sequential. I tried a Drivehub, but it was all just too much for them. It is okay, I will eventually get a Fanatec shifter.

I’ve got a question: can anyone tell me if I should buy a Fanatec wheel for Xbox X or PS5? So far my conclusion from what I’ve read is that racing wheels work better with racing games on PS (I’m reading wheel support isn’t that great for games om Xbox X … for instance) but I’m not sure if this is the right conclusion. Is it only me or the Xbox is very limited for Fanatec wheel? I have a clubsport 2.5 that has the Xbox chip, so it gets recognized, but when trying to use it in asseto corsa in Xbox it doesn’t allow me to sync more buttons other than those in the controller. Not even the paddles are recognized by themselves but rather as RT and LT. Same thing with the dials, not recognized at all.

It’s an Console thing more than a Fanatec thing. It’s the same way with PlayStation. Basically the games are only programmed for a couple wheels and if yours is not that exact one lots of buttons are left unmapped

I have a PS5 and race GT7 and just bought the Gran Turismo® DD Extreme CSL Cockpit CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder CSL Cockpit Seat ClubSport Pedals V3 Damper Kit ClubSport Pedals V3 And I can’t seem to get the pedals working. I have tried all configurations and still doesn’t work. Steering wheel, shifters work just fine but no pedals. Please help! Thank you

Hi , I'm a console player and have a CSL DD with the boost kit and WrC wheel. I've been playing dirt 5 and get feedback throughout the dirt rally tracks. Now I bought CLS DD PRO with a boost kit to play gt7 on the PlayStation as that is compatible with both ps and Xbox. The issue I'm finding is I don't get the same force feed back with the DD PRO on Xbox when playing dirt 5 throughout the track. When I'm the wheel slips in game I feel the feedback just when I'm running straight I'm not getting the dirt terrain feeling like I did when playing the CSL DD . Do you know why that is. Also don't have all my wheel tuning menu on the DD PRO like I did on the DD. Thanks for your time

Yes, you are correct, BUT, people who will need this video would then need an explanation of what DRM is, so it is faster to just say "security chip" and be done with it. Also, I think that most of the people (sadly) don't care about what it is actually called and to know more about the in depth information about the device/technical terms and details. So for the simplicity for the masses I think this works best. Have seen someone complain under one of the videos from Growling Sidewinder that the tutorials are too in depth (that he doesn't need to know about x feature, since he will only be using that one single option that it can be done).

"As long as you have the chip somewhere in your system, youll have compatibility" this is NOT true. You need the wheel and the base to have the same compatibility options, or it won't work.
