It won't matter what grade they give, lmao. Most card shops will be done in by the inflation. They won't have the customers to keep a lease going. Physical locations are what wall st guys short. Because brick and mortar will be wiped out by inflation. The disconnect between the economy and cards is incredibly huge. Cards went from for kids to family to guys dressed like paper boys digging their own grave in my lifetime. Here's a grade for Fanatics on transparency and livable wages and affordability, A big fat F. Everything these corporations are doing is illegal. The leagues can't sell a sole license. Courts determined that decades ago when Topps got sued over MLB license.

I agree with a lot of what you said but a lot of these shops are their own worst enemy. You can't have a 1990's business plan in 2024. Adapt or die.

Seems like brick and mortar leases will have to drop to accommodate vacancies.

Card packs are too expensive and I feel like I got !$## every time I open one. The card shops can tell Topps to go !$#@ themselves for all I care. I'm going to be buying singles when I go to a card shop.

100 % agree...I only really buy singles. Over time you can make money if you just focus on that.

Fanatics legally can't tell businesses how to operate. If they want that they need to sell franchises. If cards are so wonderful, why doesn't sports card Dad ever actually open packs or collect. Lmao Maybe you should do videos of something you actively participate in instead of someone who constantly sounds clueless and a corporate suckup

Hopefully a good amount of these card shops will tell Michael Rubin to sit on it and spin. That's what it's gonna take for Fanatics and Topps to realize that some of these old school shops who rarely or never use social media to push product don't need Rubin and the machine to run a card shop.

Hiya Dustin. I don't know. Not sure who's behind this new "regulatory" concept? My advice to Fanatics? Just supply your product and let the "market" decide which shops stay open. People are really good at "voting with their feet" IMO. I just wonder if guys like Geoff Wilson had their thumb on this scale? On the "Jersey boys?" The 80's is calling and their want their Miami Vice suits back. Thanx again for sharing. New content every day? You get my approval award buddy. 👍
