Ok, yes I paid $6k for 2 tickets. Wasn’t a huge deal. My problem for 3 day tickets: THEY HAD NO HANDICAPPED ACCESS TILL SUNDAY!! I bought these tickets for my dad and he clearly can’t walk much with a cane. And he couldn’t stand around all day. *but my random cards were insane. 1/1 NYC insert Swinging for the Stars Matt Olsen. Rare version of a city insert. (In the small 3 card packs) Opened a /25 Alonso /25 Mauricio. ***Now about their website, I wrote a bot that gets through their security like it’s nothing. But did I use it to buy cards? Nyet. I wrote the bot to go into the site and kick out everyone else’s Bot. It was hilarious bc that set didn’t sell out in 2 minutes and Topps was confused.

Well that's interesting, thanks for sharing Josh! Congrats on your pickups and sorry to hear that about your dad.

@@true_rcsit’s not that. When I see a kid with Multiple Sclerosis taking the stairs bc there is no ramp is illegal. Like it was illegal when they passed the laws over 40 years ago. Also any idea on what a 1/1 SSP Matt Olsen goes for? As a Mets fan I want to put a price between $1 and $1Billion dollars.

Oh the VIP bag was a joke. But the reason it was so busy on Saturday was bc this wasn’t sports based, it was WWE based.

Aha! That sounds logical, thanks again! 👍

@@true_rcs btw the term you are looking for is simple: Topps and Panini are doing a “biggest dick competition” where they place them on a table and see who owns more players association contracts and more individual players autos.

Good insights. The screwed the ViPs. Way over paid for very little that regular ticket holders didn’t get. The bag is a joke. It’s thinner that a grocery bag.

When did the NBA Players Association ever claim that a "rookie card" must be double licensed? It seems like they would endorse sets like these as including RCs because they themselves are licensing them.

I wish we would be privileged to such contract agreements but we're not. They only tell us what they want to tell us. I've tried over the years to get my hands on one but no luck. However, starting with the 2018-19 season the PA's logo or written permission started appearing in the back of cards. I know hockey follows suit but with basketball and football its typically not an issue because their draft picks are typically on the roster right away and if the athlete doesn't make it on a roster and gets cut or sent to the G-League you typically will not see RC's of them in product further giving us indication that you can't produce RCs until they earn a roster spot and or play in a game.

Curious what's your takes on these: 2011 Bowman Chrome Trout has the rc logo so it's considered a rookie card. Same card as a REFRACTOR also has the rc logo but it's not considered a rookie card. But if it's not a rc, why is it worth MULTIPLE times more than his non refractor rc? Lastly, take the 1982 topps Ripken. It's his rc, but the topps traded isn't? The Traded may look similar to the reg issue BUT you'll never find an 82 traded in a reg issue pack. If they had reg topps factory sets, the traded set would not have been included. And because of that, it's a stand alone set so shouldn't Cal also be a rc?

Hi Mike! So the 2011 Bowman Chrome #175 (if that's the card your referring to) is a true rookie card of Trout and all of it's parallels too, are considered TRC according to the system that I use. I typically do not focus on values so I can't speak to that. As far as your Ripken question goes. I do not believe in re-writing history. So whatever the Beckett Publications deemed it is what I follow. So cards produced prior to 2006 I respect its historical context. I try not to take today's standards set by the Players Association in '06 and try to apply them to cards in 1982. There are many reasons why those decision were made back in the day and you can read about them in detail in my book. Amazon link in the description! Appreciate you tuning in. 👍

@@true_rcsAccording to your system, parallels aren't RCs, as rule #1 is inclusion in the base set, which parallels are obviously not. I don't care if you want to call parallels RCs, but you need to address completely ignoring your #1 rule to include them.
