How do you do the final row? Do you just stop? It looks unfinished to me.

I see what you mean. Well you could do a row of Dc's and sc's to flatten the row, for example: Single crochet in the first 3 dc's then ch 2 and dc in the lowest stitch, then ch 2 and sc in the dc's again. Then for the next row you can just do single crochets in all the stitches. I recommend adding a row of single crochets to the other side too, to make both sides look the same. Add fringe if it's a scarf :)

@@Meladora1 Thanks! I'll give that a try. I was wondering...I'm back at this after 40 years and I can't seem to find yarn that doesn't get all fuzzy. I thought I was using good brands, but maybe I'm missing something! Do you have any brand that you like that is soft for babies and doesn't tend to get so fuzzy? It's discouraging after spending so much time and love on something to have it look like that when you're finished.

I noticed in your first row at the beginning after your 3dc in the same space you said skip 3ch put a DC in but you did a single crochet. Just thought you might want to change that, for others doing your pattern . Love your tutorials.

On row one after the first 3 dc in one stitch you say skip 3 stitches and dc. I only see you do a sc though and it's sc in the repeats. Am I wrong that it is supposed to be a sc not a dc like you say?

On the first row, after you do the beginning ch 3 and dc in the next 2; ch 3, 3 dc in next chain ... shouldn't we be putting a sc next? That is what you said for the other repeats of the pattern. I am going to make a scarf for Operation Gratitude for our military.

Great pattern, it gets confusing when you try to explain the next row before you finish the row. My question is after the 3dc tog. There is no chain 3/ ? Then sc ,ch3 ,5dc. Thanks

Correct after the 3 dc's, there is no ch 3, just a sc ch 3, 5 dc like you said
