Us medieval reenactors (European, not the US joke crap) ALSO love that movie. It's surprisingly realistic, specifically in the atmosphere around tournaments. Still watch it every year, loving it each time, both for Heith and Paul.❤❤❤

Agreed about the famous events in history vs a little known battle that happened, lol... why is it that whenever a secret is held and passed forward in history, it's always with famous people, but then you get to the current holder of the secret and it has to be someone unknown, like Joe Shmoe, lol. Wouldn't it be like "Oh, we have to go talk to Stephen Hawking." 😂😂😂

Tom Hanks is at that stage where he's going to do the roles "he" wants, and we can watch it or not. Which is a really cool thing for him, and I wish all actors could be there.

It is quiet an achievement, but... man how things have changed since the "Screen Junkies" days. This commentary has 21 000 views, but less than 70 comments. The more usual ratio is around 10 comments per 1000 views ... so "community engagement" is not what it used to be with these videos. woah, indeed

I definitely enjoyed the book far more than the movie. I had the special illustrated edition of the book, which honestly made the whole thing a lot better. So when a painting was mentioned, the book actually had the painting right there (since this was definitely pre-smart phones) so you could see what he was trying to go for. It was Indiana Jones for art nerds.

I still don’t understand the point of this movie. The casket was moved around so much how could you prove who it belonged to? The only reason we know they found king Tut’s tomb is because it was never opened. If someone took his casket out, moved it around for years. All you would have is some old bones they may have been king Tut but no way to prove it. Same thing with this movie. All you have is some old bones with no proof of who it was.

I always found it fascinating that Howard said he’d never make the Langdon novel based on American Freemasons being the bad guys. Makes you wonder the risk there, if he had no qualms making movies that made the Catholic Church the bad guys.

To be honest, the 2nd one is the best. Angels and Demons is a much better script with a very tight plot that tricks you into thinking it is a Davinci Code type of mystery but with a good twist in the 3rd act that it was all one guy behind the scenes and no secret conspiracy of anything.
