Thanks for the CBS Sports tidbit, all. I'm watching the movie right now, and the main theme is one of those "sticks in your mind even if you don't know where it came from" themes. For me, the eight bars that start around 0:21 have been dancing through my mind off and on for decades.

CBS Sports used the string sections of this score for their PGA golf broadcasts, usually as the opening theme of each game, from the early to mid-'80s.

@shepramsey6 You're right. CBS Sports was using the string section part of the theme music from the movie, "St. Ives"(1976) at the start of their golf telecasts during the 1970's!

Just watched the DVD for the first time a couple nights ago. Bronson is at his best, and it's one of Lalo's grooviest scores. It really captures the essence of 1970s West Coast action! There's more to it than these killer 3 minutes of main theme. Does anyone know if Warner Bros. ever released an official soundtrack?

The dirty 95 so far! Usa is Great Lalo Schifrin but Russia is similar great. is China also fantastic and the rest is so called Europe. Japan and Indochina Korean etc are not yet known. In my opinion Usa and Russia is similar. England is different but very valuable different Others culture me not speciist I like Italy.
