When it comes to writting, Fang yuan is better, but when it comes to self sacrifice and emotion Klein is better. Yes, Fang Yuan embodies selfishness and perserverance because that's how HIS world works and without self reliance there is no survival, but in LOTM there is no choice, once you're involved you're involved, there is no way of denying your fate and the only option is to accept and try to overcome. Fate works differently in LOTM and RI, although some people always look at the characters and writing but not the conditions and circumstances that surround the characters. In RI everyone has their own fate, and the outcome of that fate is the lengths one is willing to go in order to avoid it, but in LOTM, the fate assigned to everyone is inevitable, there is no escaping fate because of the circumstances around it the only way to overcome fate in LOTM is to accept it and try to overcome it. But this is from my own assessment and opinion.

The biggest difference is Fang Yuan is an enjoyable protagonist becouse of his goals, journey and perseverance while Klein Moretti is a relatable protagonist because of his humanity, selflessness and will. Overall there is no winner in terms of writting, these characters are eqaul because of what they symbolise and embody.

klein is a better written character from a world perspective, there is a constant theme I felt in the qu that sums it up well. Simply put a world where dynamic is discarded and pursuit of your final goal is put not only before all else but forces you to discard it, the humanity of the person gets put into question. Perhaps the very reason of satisfaction itself gets lost in the pursuit in perfection and at the end of the journey not feeling the loss and misgivings washes the very world of its color. While Fang Yuan is the epitome of progression and perfection, not yielding to societal norms and becoming Nietzsche's perfect man the very idea of efficiency this itself is unforgettable but not necessarily character quality. For a person to progress he must go through the world changing and being changed through grinding and creating friction with society itself. I understand that its Fang's second life but at the same time I don't feel humanity from him at all, its like reading a nihilist that wants to become god just to prove that god isn't real and that the world itself is a sham, someone who sacrifices so much of what it means to be human that he feels like AI. Klein gets changed and changes the world and though not bound chooses to follow some convention. This is due to the very fundamental elements of his world with beings of extreme power also being more prone to lose themselves. Not being tied down by social convention is a fantasy that I have dreamed of from as early as middle school which is why I felt so much satisfaction from reading RI but at the end of the day it felt more like a case study then a full character, like as we grow up we eventually get tired of spiderman losing everything again and again without reward I believe that the nature of trampling over everything like fang yuan is more a deep dive into insanity. Not by societal standards but by his own volition sacrificing all of his humanity and turning into a mad god.

@Olumayo2015 love , relationship, friendship, and family I have already long ago abandon them in my wife . Even before I have started reading RI I always have a dream , ambition and goal I want to do it in life . With time relationship,family and friends everything will turn to dust but even before they turn to dust people change. Long ago I was always the same so that one day when we meet again I will still be the same so that you can feel like home with me . But it took me a lot of time to get out of stillness, looking back and reflecting back my actions I come to a profound realisation I can't stay that the same forever. I have always have a dream and promise myself to fullfill in the future to my younger self. I will not forget my dream because of old age. I will chase it forever be it my dream of the dream of FY immortal . It beautiful and I don't need happiness . I am content with my dreams ,be great and beautiful true to myself even in death.
