The Ruggie Bucchi in me saw the can and immediately thought, "Why buy a can when you can fish it?" 😂

Tip to improve the fish: For the canned mackerel, use only half of the juice! Mackerel is already a highly oily fish, rich in Omega3's, on top of the fact that most canned fish unless stated otherwise is pre-cooked and cooking with it often overcooks it.... which is why it was so.. soft... You can remove the skins with a knife, literally just slice it off! Personally I would have just used Mackerel fillet the entire way so you can control just how seasoned or cooked the fish is when you cook it because canned mackerel is pre-cooked and will become overcooked when you add it to anything being cooked as stated before... Also you want to cook your fish separate and add it LAST, like RIGHT before serving!

I’m also really picky with my fish. I only like Tuna (canned) and Salmon… That’s it 😭 If it has the head, skin, tail or bones I will reject it hard.
