what makes Kanej so superior is that they have these extremely strong feelings for each other but Inej still doesn’t give up her dreams for him. We stan a queen who knows what she wants and the message that you can’t necessarily ‘fix’ people, it’s not your responsibility. You can support them in their journey, but it is not your life’s mission. All the murder aside (lol), I think they are also setting a great example for many people reading these books and especially girls, who are often taught through romance/YA books that they should sacrifice their goals etc. for this one epic love story. Kanej shows beautifully that true love also means independence, support and a life outside of it.

I love kanej because it isn’t your ‘typical love story’. The chemistry they have is incredible, even though they don’t touch or have any form of intimacy due to their immense trauma you can definitely tell how strongly they feel about each other. Inej loves Kaz very much, but what I love is she isn’t giving up her dreams for him. She doesn’t let him hold her back. And personally I think that’s great, because in so many stories you see women give up what they wanna do for the ‘love interest’, which really isn’t a great message to young girls, like myself.Kanej will always have my heart, I can’t wait to see some of the SoC/CK scenes in the show! (Not in S2 but maybe later on, we NEED the Crooked Kingdom bathroom scene)

I love Inej but I do always feel bad for Kaz. He has ptsd about physical contact and is in love. Talk about cruelty of fate. But I do like to imagine that Kaz and Inej could eventually work through their problems together and then ruled Ketterdam and the sea together.

So do I. He really does love Inej, yet he can barely go near her without wanting to throw up. As well Inej has PTSD from the menagerie. I think they would manage to work through their trauma, a very long recovery though. I’d love to think that they ruled Ketterdam and the Seas together!

I discovered Six of Crows through the show and immediately bought the book and read it in just a few days. When Inej left Kaz on the boat after saying she would have him without armor or not at all it felt like someone had knocked the wind out of me. I am so emotionally invested in them that it physically hurt when that scene happened 😭 I try and talk about all my feelings to my family and friends but they don’t get it and won’t fangirl with me so I’m glad I found a channel that would 🥲

Another part I loved but you missed it in the first part is when Jesper asks himself if Kaz would have been such an angry dog if it was him with a knife on his side. (Sorry if I don't know the exact words but I read it in Italian so I'm just assuming the translation ) and honestly even the scene when Kaz says to Oomen(?) "My wraith would have mercy but thanks to you she's not here" my heart..

Oh my gosh. Whenever I read chapters of Kaz and Inej, I just die. They're just amazing and so beautiful. They're the best ship in Six of Crows after Zoyalai. I died when I read the part *"I will have you without armor, Kaz Brekker, or I will not have you at all."* I'm going to die and come back when I hear the quote in the show. 🤩 Also the scene when Kaz changes Inej's bandages and takes his gloves off. 🤩❤

I love how Inej refused to accept only part of Kaz but I feel like it was kind of hypocritical because in crooked kingdom *not exactly spoilers but don't read on if you haven't read ck* Inej says, "So he wasn't fit for a normal life. Was she meant to find a kindhearted husband, have is children, and then sharpen her knives after they'd gone to sleep? How would she explain the nightmares she still had from the Menagerie? Or the blood on her hands?" And then earlier in the book she also says, "What if he had come to her, laid his gloves aside, drawn her to him, kissed her mouth? Could she have been herself in such a moment, or would she have broken apart and vanished, a doll in his arms, a girl who could never quite be whole?" Anyway, my point is: Inej says she will not accept so little from Kaz, and yet she isn't sure she'd be able to completely give herself either, so how can she be talking? Still absolutely adore Kanej tho, this is just something that's bothered me ever since I finished the duology
