He actually played very well. His only problem was not knowing how butcher works lol (and he probably should also reconsider inting to teleport back to the egg). I can see how his constant camp stealing and proxy soak can win games, especially in silver. This Murk has potential :D

I think the murky was hoping to die out of range of giving butcher meat. He didn’t realize it only worked like 1 time. So he gave away XP and meat.

Why is dying to towers as Murky a good play? Just for almost instant transportation to the egg? Or does it actually not give any XP if there are no heroes around, like with minions?

It does, so only fast travel and resetting hp. Dying even to a neutral camp gives the opposite team XP
