Top quality info! You hit all of the important factors that I see on both the pros and cons of techniques and gear. I look forward to seeing how things hold up under pressure testing in the gym.

Good video. Very informative. I recently began using the everyday fanny pack as a replacement for the vertx long walks fanny pack, which was a bit too bulky. It is much better! Low profile, holds my wallet, phone, flashlight, knife, and 43x. I’ve tried many and have settled on this as my go to. Guys shouldn’t shy away because it’s targeted toward women. It’s one of the best available for this type of carry.

I’m older and overweight. I don’t use a belt very often. I use suspenders. The Fanny pack is much easier for me. I used one in the 80’s for off duty carry as a police officer

I also use a black neoprene belly band which I wear on top of a form-fitting shirt and then employ a cover garment. It works perfectly and is closer to my body than any holster could be. I've never had a printing problem ever.

Very interesting! 'Waist packs' (the term I prefer--maybe that just sounds more manly 😎) went through a popularity phase back in the early '90s, when I used one briefly. I had a large one, that I carried a Colt Commander .45 in. I liked to wear it with the pouch on my left side; it didn't look as dorky as in front, but the contents were definitely more available than in back. It was also a good stash for pocket junk in hot Alabama summers. I've since gone to pocket carry for my CCW, but still find the pack very practical for backpacking, where front wear is practical both for a firearm and other small necessities. As far as fighting over the thing, if someone gets hold to it, forget about 'getting away', ATTACK and tear into the assailant with everything you have. When they let go, then create distance and do whatever else is necessary.

I’m glad you mentioned about flagging. There is this popular bag that came out for CCW that has a great design flaw in promoting flagging. Any video you see of it, the user is flagging themselves. The only one that I see that isn’t flagging are Vertx bags

sometimes I put my fanny pack straps through my belt loops so someone can't rip it off of me so easily, and keeps it from sagging ❤

I generally fanny pack carry at the gym or if I’m with my nephew. I use a combat iron apparel fanny pack. It’s got a pineapple grenade pattern. I chose this because my vertex fanny pack looked to tactile. I imagine most people don’t think something that has such a loud pattern has a gun in it

Do you think the vertx everyday fanny pack would stay cinched in place around the waist on a run?

What type holster is recommended for the belt bags?

Why use a fanny pack as a cross body carry pack? Use it as a Fanny pack?
@nmr6988Ай бұрын
I'm not sure, but I think you're saying to use the fanny pack around your waist. I would agree with that. I carried for a decade in a very stiff sided Ace Cases waist pack and because it was around my waist but under an open cover shirt, no one ever noticed it. I still carry that way on occasion, but I have switched to a pistol that has more rounds, so now I use a black neoprene belly band. Neither option is for a fast draw. It's for concealment and so no one will think I'm carrying. The element of surprise is my goal.

I love my waist pack. It's perfect so of course that company doesn't make them anymore.
