I wish I knew what my grandmothers address was. I only have one or two photos of her home. Her cousin was a monk who was an artist, named Paolo Generali.

My family came from here. My great great grandfather and his siblings moved to Buffalo, NY (Unites States) and eventually brought their mother to the US as well (her passport said she lived in Pesaro) My great great grandfather started what is today one of the oldest italian specialty meats companies in New York. My great great great grandfather died of tuberculosis in the 19th century here in Italy. I have pictures of him, and his children. They were contributors to an orphanage that served children affected by parents who died of tuberculosis. I absolutely loved this video. I will make it here some day

An amazing city! This is Dan from Texas. I had to use my KZbin account that is on this computer since I am in our music room/office and I didn't want to change accounts.. I just assumed most Italians speak English since you are so fluent. So many students learn multiple languages now at a very you age in school. Is that how you learned? My son watched this with me and noticed stop signs in English. Is that because of so many tourists?
@takeoffgirl2 жыл бұрын
Hi Dan! Well.. I don’t think Italians are known for speaking English well. We struggle I would say, although we study it in school. I started young but I really learnt it when I moved to England at 19. The place is very touristy, so yes, that’s the reason why you could see signs in English. Thanks for watching, hugs your way!
@DanLivermore2 жыл бұрын
@@takeoffgirl Your English is outstanding...but your Italian is poetry. You speak very fluid and beautiful Italian. It is like music.

What does FANO means in Italy
@takeoffgirl2 жыл бұрын
The word itself doesn’t mean anything really… the romans called it “fanum fortunae “ - fano the city of fortune

@@takeoffgirl Thank you dear. By the way in Ethiopia FANO is the ancient respected patriots/Youth of Amhara ethnics who are protecting their people against any enemy including the government. Currently Fano power is becoming strong. #IamFano Movement is happening in US and other world countries by Ethiopian foreigners to support Fano .
