3:10, TYPE 9 TEST TRAIN!! 😮 3923 is trailing 3900. It and 3922 were delivered in February of 2021. All Type 9s were accepted for service before the end of the year, by mid-August. Should say on the destination sign in the front and on the sides: “TEST TRAIN, NO PASSENGERS”. Wow, both the oldest and newest Type 9s coupled together in one train set, cool. 👍👍

3920 and 3921 were delivered to Riverside on December 30, 2020, followed by 3922 and 3923 on February 4, 2021. May 29, 2021: 3920 and 3921 have been conditionally accepted. July 3, 2021: 3922 has now been accepted. August 14, 2021: 3923 has now been accepted, meaning that this marks the end of the type 9 acceptance process and that all cars are now in service. February 4, 2021: 3922 and 3923 have been delivered to Riverside, so this marks the completion of the type 9 delivery. To date, cars 3900-3917 are in service, so 3918-3923 are in the acceptance testing.

They say the type 9s will be transferred to the Mattapan Trolley in the future when the line is rebuilt to handle the newer LRVS.

Remember that some of the type 8s are 2006-2008 builds because those had to replace the 3400 series Boeing LRVs.

@@zazaranger5 yup. Septa has been using those old cars for so long. But I love them out of nostalgia anyways. But yeah the light rail here in my town is a joke, but at least we got light rail! Makes the commute between media and Sharon hill easier

Yours in Miami are actually modern L trains meaning they are full width rapid transit trains that run above the streets. Like the L trains in Chicago which were built for lines that began on the 1890s.
