Great video! Definetly the best way to cool off after a hot day.

Montgomery Ward looks good in there. That unit does have a nice startup sound like you mentioned previously. I use my units on economy mode with the thermostats inside the room and not in front of the coil. No humidity problems. I just clean them every year to avoid excessive mold buildup.

Every day this week its been 95 degrees where i am. The vintage conditioners have ran the whole time and kept the place around 68. My old modern ones would've struggled to keep it at 77.

Nice AC units. The Carrier Siesta is a gem... I don't like using the energy saver mode though. I see your point on how using it is beneficial but, I think it puts wear and tear on the components as they don't get a chance to cool off. Also, I think the unit itself keeps a more consistent temperature, maybe at the cost of it being a bit more humid in the room but at least the AC components have a chance to cool off, adding more overall life to the unit. Nice video though.

The Carriers you have are the same of my uncle has in one of his houses in Brazil. Carrier international 10k or 12k BTU in the his bedroom and the Siesta is in the guest room. There are 2 more different carriers in the his son and tv room. The sound of those olds compressors kicking on are so nostalgic for me.

I have a little 5k Midea air conditioner in my bedroom at the head of the trailer. My central went out in the middle of the day. Kept my door open with a fan on and that little sucker kept the trailer at 75 degrees till the HVAC tech got there.

We had a dew point of 75-77 degrees yesterday, heat index in the 100s, my AC was working really hard.
@JordanU5 ай бұрын
Today seems worse here than yesterday, it’s already 87. Heat index is supposed to be in the mid 90s, but I think it will end up higher. My air conditioners are working the same as always. Machines do not work easier or harder, they just work.

There were a few housefires around the area due to people plugging in their window air conditioner unit into a power strip. Never plugged them into a power strip, always plug them into a wall.
@JordanU5 ай бұрын
There is nothing dangerous about plugging an air conditioner, or any other high draw equipment, into a power bar or extension cord as long as good quality equipment with proper specifications is used.
@that_demonswathe735 ай бұрын
@@JordanU Yes, absolutely. Make sure your bar can handle the amp draw before using it with the window unit. Learned that the hard way and melted one. Always double check the specs.
