From the XTB apologist: With this figure in hand, I see a very solid and basic figure. When I use the term basic, it is not intended as a cut against the figure or brand, but more of a back to basics approach..provide a solid figure with a transformation that is not difficult or painful. I didn't feel like I was going to break anything, but those tires and moving it back into the leg was troublesome. I am not a huge fan of the face options...especially after the truck load provided to compete against XTB in their Tesla release. But this wins against the XTB by not having the side gaps. Though having the translucent and painted windows doesn't work for me..choose one and go. Alt mode, to me, still goes to XTB, though having the weapons hidden and a clean undercarriage is a huge plus. Thanks for the video as always. I have to say that I'm happy with this "wave" if releases based on how they've designed their transformations to be clever and simpler than previous releases I "Dare" to be challenged in his.

It's a similar design, but that gun is definitely more Ironhide and Ratchet than Bumblebee. The figure is pretty cool!! Takara's gonna have a nightmarishly hard time gettin' sales for their MP56 Trailbreaker (and the eventual obligatory Hoist retool)...or not, since the MMC & XTB offerings are largely out of print.

It was 3Q 2022 which is July - September. A lot of sites use September as a placeholder in their system for 3Q just so they don't have to move it back twice if it doesn't come earlier in the quarter. As far as I'm aware it has been the next new one after Hannibal for nearly a year, but I don't know specifically which month FT planned for in the quarter.

While he's definitely growing on me in that I might grab him for my TB, I don't think I ever noticed how disturbingly far out the truck hood sticks from the windshield... We ripped into the TT Arcee for having a shelf instead of breasts, but this guy's got a freaking kangaroo pouch!

I always thought Hoist was the one that always had a nozzle hand.. not chill breaker. Yeah he did use the"Canon arm" and the cartoon, but many times he had both hands. It's Hoist that I remember having that Cannon all the time.

Good review, paint, sculpt, typical FT. I like the simple transformation and how the upper and lower body just fold up on top of each other to create the vehicle mode. Articulation is good although the head for me is lacking in articulation because of the way it’s designed / the transformation. It’s such a shame that they had to rush this out missing the box art and the correct bio, as that for me is a big part of the overall presentation and thrill of opening an FT figure, and Iohannes art work is amazing. I hope his mould mate hoist isn’t rushed in the same way. Being in the U.K. I’ll likely get this in hand early to mid July.

@@scottrenfer2735 great point! Takara’s presentation may have rushed this figure and they used a box that seems to have been meant for Tesla 2.0 @ a certain time. Fanstoys has been on the edge since XTB’s Janssen and the knockoff dilemma. They seem to feel threatened and their Tesla 2.0 did ‘not’ sell out as they expected. They re taking everything seriously now. Very interesting…

@@scottrenfer2735 yes your correct in that it’s because of Takara coming out they’ve decided to package it with no branding etc but if that was the plan why have a bio card with Rigs name on it and Teslas actual bio, they would have been better off having no bio - that’s the rush aspect to me

@@TMReviews just my copy today, really love the paint work, enjoyed the transformation, my only sticking point was going back to robot mode as one of the wheels on the shin was really tight and I was worried about shaping it but Fred it eventually. I ended up swapping out the face for the flatter and wider chin. Aground good figure looking forward to his mold mate now

I have quibbles The head is way too round but the face is absolutely perfect Takara's is more accurately square but the face is sunken in This is otherwise THE best 3P MP styled Trailbreaker offering to date
