I have fond memories of Trailbreaker, as the G1 figure was the very first Transformer that I owned. My parents bought him for me when we were on holiday in Scarborough in the 80s. Sadly, he's lost his head and his accessories through the years so I have him in car mode all the time. I have recently bought the Earthrise figure and my love of him has been renewed. The engineering on the figures nowadays is quite something and I end up keeping all my figures in robot mode, as some are qwuite complex to change. I'm glad Emgo is here with his vids to show how it's done...😄

This is pretty awesome engineering. Somehow he's a shellformer without being a shellformer. I haven't seen a transforming scheme like that ever. The only gripe I have is I wish they could have made the side door panels go down a little more and cover up the white and red bits better on the bottom.

Really nice metallic paint! His legs look a bit long but.. chrome! The chrome makes up for it! Maybe this is Trailbreaker after Jenny Craig 😏

Feel the same here, I think this is a little better than the XTB but wasn't worth the wait or the funds to upgrade. Especially as we'll see the comparisons with the official soon

It's definitely a lengthy transformation for a carbot but less finicky in the legs than I expected. Unfortunately I don't care for FansToys' interpretations of the character models.

Though smaller the ocular max vehicle mode looks nicer imo but the robot mode is tops on this one...even if it is a little too big.

I'm slightly disappointed that he doesn't have a G1 toy style alt head like their Soundwave came with. Gotta say I like the accessories and overall shape of the official MP over this one, I might go with that version if I decide I need an MP Trailbreaker in my life (oh who am I kidding, I do, he was my first ever TF figure in 1984 so I have a sentimental attachment to the character). Still, FT is on-point with the paint as they always are, love that pearlescent white they use nowadays.

Is it a coincidence, or are the Masterpiece reveals inspiring 3rd party companies to make these characters themselves? It's nice that it gives an option for people who might not be able to find or afford the official stuff but want a version of the characters in their collection. I hope we get an official Blaster soon, he can't be that hard to do, and we already have a Steeljaw mold?

if ya get the haaibal you'll need to save alot of money for the fortmax if ya go with chomp thats season 4 and outrider is g1 thats how i would think about is

Hard to say which one to recommend. I only owned Hannibal initially but just picked up this guy and Chomp a few weeks ago, and they're both fantastic. All 3 are great figures. I think Chomp is my favorite of all 3 for his alt mode though
