Fanstoys Sever Transformers 3rd Party Snarl

Just had a talk with my Realtor, and they agree with me that the chromed weapons don't hold well, so its fortunate that we get super tight finger joints. They may be tough to move, but it keeps those weapons in place. Now if the weapons fit perfect and the fingers weren't too tight.. i'd be left with nothing to say but I can't wait for this to show up in the mail. Love the skit!

Awesome review, I loved that you kept bringing Gigapower out for comparison. I do fall in the camp of Gigapower aesthetic (not a fan of chrome) but this is a really nice looking bot as well. Your reviews are aces, looking forward to the next one.

Great skit I can totally relate. I got my Sever on Saturday and I love it. Do you think that MP Grimlock is starting to look out of place among the rest of the set? I have all mine in Robot mode and he looks a bit small next to the others.

Being a new but avid collector (50+ mp types in last year), sever has some of the tightest joints I have ever seen, like fall in love tight! But to be clear perhaps almost too tight. FT's has been impressing me. I don't care who makes what, I enjoy and will pay for quality takara/hasbro or "3rd party"... I have become a Transformers collector again, not a brand collector. It all makes me feel some kind of way and takes me back to a happy childhood. I enjoy your candor, and well done videos.

Great review Bobby! Seeing them side by side I decided to go with Sever. Gutter looks cool but, Sever just looks more classy and polished to me. Those squeaks worry me though. Hopefully a little shock oil can fix that up.

A bit late but I just got mine. This is my first fanstoys dinobot and it is beautiful. That leg swivel is super tight, felt like i was going to twist it off. I have a long way to go though. One down four to go. Great review

Man, these guys are getting spot on with their dinobots, their doing a fantastic job! 1 thing that bothers me a lot though, is that aweful squeaking in the joints, which has me a little nervous, nerve wrecking if you will. Never really got any 3rd party dinos, honestly, beside the fact on how good these guys are, I kinda wanna go with Planet X Dinobots, just for that FOC look since I got the FOC Voyager Grimlock. :p Just never got around to getting the Planet X version, guess Life gets on the way sometimes. Lol Anywho....if I see any newer dinobots, I know Hasbro did them in the AOE line, but this year on, in the Combiner Wars line, would be interesting if Hasbro did dinobots again, & maybe combine to form Extinction, even if that don't happen & they don't combine, still...would be cool if Hasbro made some G1 inspired dinobots, for sure. ;)

EXCELLENT REVIEW MR.SKULLFACE.!! Wow a reviewer that actually compares both offerings,that's rare! I don't want to go in2 another rant but it's safe to say it's a win-win for either Snarls. I do like Server but I just like the size of Gutter more. I still hate that hole on the bottom of him and I know every1 will say "Your not going to display him upside down are you?" but the point is it's still there. It looks as if it's missing a battery cover,I guess you can put duct tape until FT releases Not Sludge and comes with the cover for Server. I am wondering though what is up with FT's tolerance? Tight is good but man that's sound like plastic on plastic and I worry it may snap! Well gr8 review man and 1 of my favorite reviews this whole year bc your just straight up Honest about both Figures. There both good figures IMO.

I ended up sanding the connector nubs on the legs so they stopped squeaking (or being a pain to rotate, like I was going to break them). Worked like a charm and it only took 10 minutes.

Great review. I want to add to what you said. I have this guy and he's great, but there are a number of annoying design issues that really bug me: -The way the plate designs differ on each side. The inner should have been used on both sides -The way the 2 halves in dino mode don't match at all -The bot mode torso being plastic really clashes with scoria -The weird red section on his dino leg Overall, I just wish they would be consistent and follow the design cues of their earlier releases.

I think I might temporarily halt my Fanstoys ban to get this guy. Thanks for the review. IMO, if you drop over $100 for a toy, it should be pretty much perfect. If you drop $200 for a toy and it it isn't perfect, you've been had. Also, good examples of cartoon scale inconsistencies, thanks.

Just got mine today. Sad thing is, I broke his dino head (well one half of it). The part that swings the whole assembly for the dino head was stuck. Thought it was to tight. Took the black screw out, twist and snapped the post. Little engineering, and fixed, but has a longer silver screw now. Some people have passed on this to get the Gutter version just because of the legs(at least the dino legs on the outside in robot mode). Anybody stop to think, you can fold Sever's dino legs out for the same look, although there is the hollowness in the leg now. Just tried to flip the dino head out for a g1 toy style, and that doesn't work. Reissue Quakwave and Sludge hurry up and come out sooner.

Alright after watching the whole thing I started to think of my perspective on scale and not to be rude to you bobby but I feel when people use pictures from the cartoon its just a little distasteful ;). But on the real I think that your right about scale being how you the fan feels it should be but honestly until tak/has gives us the mp scale that feels nice for me I will still have that itch that I need scratched. I have the fillers for the underside of the dino mode, and they dont hinder the transformation or the look of the robot mode either, so the gap in the underside is no longer a negative.
