How to recognize early labor in goats - The sure signs to look for

I have a doe who’s bagged up, super soft ligaments can almost touch under the tail and she is separating herself from the herd, swollen vulva (no mucus overtly), and always finding somewhere to hide, she has a bit of an upset tummy lately and always tail up…. but she has been this way for almost two weeks. When do I start to worry about her progressing ??? How long should I wait!!

Is she having contractions yet? Some get the hormone surge for longer than others, but it sounds like she is very close, do you know when she should be due? It is go time when there are active contractions and strings of goop out the back end, after that babies should follow within a couple of hours. Best of luck

Got two bred rescue does from auction ... The darker one lost part of plug Friday but acted normal ... Today had a little discharge in the morning when doing thier hay ... And this evening has been squatting like she has to pee but nothing .... And looks like she's pushing but not dilated or anything yet just repetitively swatting ... I'm guessing it could take her awhile to dilate and get baby/ies into position

Yes sometimes! This is usually a sign of contractions

How long can these signs last? We have a doe who has been having kidding signs for 3 days now. Random contractions but not many (around 5) and within the 3 days She looks like she's dropped as well. No mucus yet though

Sounds like she is really close. If it has been 3 days of being pretty close, I suspect she will go in the next 24 hours. If she is having active labor and not making any progress then you should contact the vet and check something isn't stuck, but random contractions that aren't regular or getting longer and stronger are really just pre-labor niggles. @@FantailValleyHomestead vet came out yesterday, she's not dilated that she can tell, vet couldn't really get a good check because she was pulling away. But she's forsure dropped ,milk is coming in but not leaking ligaments are soft. Hopefully within the next few days we see some babies!
