Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns (9 October 1835 -- 16 December 1921) was a French composer, organist, conductor, and pianist of the Romantic era. A precocious musician, he wrote in virtually all genres, including opera, symphonies, concertos, songs, sacred and secular choral music, solo piano, and chamber music. As he grew older, Saint-Saëns came to prefer leaner sonorities, thinner and more refined textures, and became increasingly interested in the sound of the harp. He wrote his Fantaisie for solo harp in 1893, followed in 1907 by a Fantaisie for violin and harp and in 1918 by a Morceau de Concert for harp and orchestra.
Camille Saint-Saëns (Paris 1835-1921) est un pianiste, organiste et compositeur français de l'époque post-romantique. Particulièrement prolixe, il a laissé un large corpus regroupant des oeuvres de tous styles. Il est reconnu dès les années 1860 comme l'un des plus grand compositeurs français, et voyage en Europe, aux Etats-Unis comme en Afrique du Nord. Il s'intéresse de plus en plus à la sonorité de la harpe et écrit sa Fantaisie pour harpe solo en 1893, avant de signer une Fantaisie pour violon et harpe en 1907, puis un Morceau de concert pour harpe soliste et orchestre en 1918.

Maia lives in the Melody...others just play the melody...there are no predetermined memorised mechanics for Maia s fingers. Each of her fingers is a living being with a soul. Maia is a Magician who instead of one wand has ten fingers.[ i m revisiting this to live again through the melody, it is alive as two years ago]
