To me, the highlight is at 2:05, when after she gives Ms. Labelle a motherly kiss she looks to her right, turns back and lets out a gospel screech that makes me flap and fall out of my chair every time. After, she tenderly cups Ms. Labelle's face and then holds her hand--all the while singing the bejabbers out of her song! When you can reduce a wonder like Ms. Labelle to a bucking, speechless wreck, you know you're watching something supernatural. And did she not fit in an “Oh, Lawdy!” a coupla times at the end for good measure? You can't make up this kind of electricity; it's simply a gift Ms. Fantasia was given at birth. Only a few other female singers, in my humble opinion, have had this kind of power: Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston and Shirley Caesar...

I saw this and felt like Finally a quality and authentic singer had the chance to not only sing it in the exact soul gritty vocals But it was almost like watching a rights of passage Patti never took her eyes off of Fantasia They were like stars in cosmic alignment And when Fantasia strutted all the way to Patti and they did a lady like kiss To me Patti knighted Fantasia She was at that point given a real ancesterial rite of passage Fantasia took some of Patti soul in that kiss It was like Patti put a proverbial crown on Fantasia head And put her on a new throne of greatness Patti had been waiting to do that too She called her Momma Patti So they had already bonded Patti knows another power house and gave her mad respect I loved this I watched it so many times And Fantasia just dug in and made us believe more than ever She is here to stay And Patti gave her a stamp of musical motherly approval Patti took her hand chile and pushed her onward Loved that magical moment
