Fantastische Darbietung!

Which organ is this?

And Mozart himself played this very organ when both he and the organ were youngsters!

like a lot of Mozart music, wish he was able to make more of it. certainly holds true for organ music.

I've got an interesting suggestion. Is it possible to show the name of the stops as they are being played? I'm wondering what is the name of the metallic sounding stop being played around 4:20.

For the very best display of your very suggestion, look at the organ demonstrations from Balint Karosi, also on KZbin.

Horrible! Did the player had a train to catch or was he on some drugs.... much much too fast! How can one distort a score that way? It is Mozart not Liszt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, Mozart left metronome marks, did he? No. So it is left to the taste and fancy of the musician to decide the tempo according to their interpretation of the Italian phrases, allegro, lento, largo etc. How stultifying the music world would become if every piece was always played at the same speed -- without imagination.

MUCH MUCH too fast!!!! Not enjoyable

I disagree. The piece was originally conceived by Mozart for a very much smaller instrument. Master van der Kooy's tempo is very much in line with that of Noel Rawsthorne at Liverpool Anglican cathedral, recorded a good two generations ago, and for a long time considered definitive.

You must realize it's Mozart style..I think it is well balanced...it depends totally on the listener..and of course if you are in the church you will have a different experience!!
