Yes, much can be said of Mr. Redzic's legato...then again, the whole of his technique (scales, arpeggios, contrapuntal playing, dynamics, tone, volume) is divine. But for me, Sanel's phrasing is what makes the difference in his music making. He feels the music and can translate (with nothing lost) that emotion and understanding. He phrases the musical ideas like breathing...like the heart's pumping blood in and out...the expansion and contraction of the musical phrase (just notice the range of dynamics and subtle shifts of colors) and he does so in a way which makes the whole piece brim with life. Yes, the pieces he play come to life...they gain a specific character or personality and shape. If I close my eyes, the playing will suggest something akin to geometry...architecture...a shape (of what I cannot say...I only say it's something abstract that suggests something concrete...sorry about the vagueness, but writing about musical experience is next to impossible). This "shape" or "form" is created exactly by the way he phrases the musical ideas. This is also something rare in musicians and only a few of the greatest have it...IMO. Mr. Redzic has given us some of the finest Bach (I will say at least on the guitar because all the praise I can muster for his playing will just be repetitive and tiresome - I want to try to understand why his playing is...so beautiful and poetic)...some of the finest of every musical style (remember his Ponce and Tansman and you think you're hearing them for the first time). This wonderful Weiss piece is a compact statement of the best of the German Baroque...just close enough to Bach but also far enough apart to retain its original voice and genius and overcome the anxiety of influence and overwhelming Bachian presence. And here Mr. Redzic performs this as I think it would have greatly pleased Weiss himself who might have said "Very good, Sanel...you play my music differently from Bach's...which it is". The audiovisual production also merits praise as Mr. Redzic's videos (once again simply IMO) are setting a new standard for quality classical guitar on KZbin. This is something that would have pleased Glenn Gould: using these means to enhance art and music...to make an esthetic statement. Besides the impeccable sound (other guitarrists out there...pay attention!), the setting and overall elegance and superb taste...make this performance magical (please excuse me Walter Benjamin, but, the magic or "aura" need not always be lost in these technical reprodictions). Anyway, we await more of this Mr. Redzic's high art: he has quite a variety from exciting live performances to these awesome productions. This just shows that a great artist (once again, IMO...he's a king among guitarrists) like Mr. Redzic is making the most of the technical means of our time. Your appreciators and fans salute and celebrate your art! What the world needs is more Sanel Redzic! Best,

I do not understand this sudden change in tempo between the "prelude" and the "fugue". We miss something here. His technique, though, is brilliant and clear on every note.

@@lawcch with 3 days I can easily learn it. The thing is, how am I going to transmit what I feel at the moment about the piece? I am constantly learning about emotions in music, is not something objective, beyond easy or hard, is knowing thyself and showing it trough passion, something you can always learn trough a lifetime, because the inside self is never the same. It is impossible to play one note exactly the same as the previous one, each one is unique. With the eyes open you do not only learn the piece, you learn about its energy.

Muy buena la digitación, aunque en 4 o 5 pasajes... me resultaron un poco impracticos pero utilice modificaciones mías más cómodas, gracias por el aporte de tus dedos. y en lo particular me gusta la tonalidad en Re menor, más que en Mi menor como lo es usualmente.
