"Fantasmic!" Disneyland 2024︱Filmed in 8K

This is my multi-camera angle edit of Disneyland’s new “version 3.0” “Fantasmic!” at Disneyland, which debuted on May 24, 2024.
I filmed the show over the course of 5 days, capturing a total of 8 different angles. I also mixed multiple source audio tracks in an attempt to create the soundtrack for this new show. Despite a few focus mistakes I made during the filming of this video, I am still very happy with my work, and I hope you all enjoy! Also, please excuse the typo at the end of the video.
Filmed on the nights of May 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28 on the Sony α7RV in 8K resolution.

One that you did miss was the Tangled Sequence. At the beginning of that one, the towers do rise up during the song, which i thought was a nice added effect! Also, Fountain light colors during the villains defeat projections were also different! Honestly, I didn't even notice how many effects they changed during the show! Lot of them went completely over my head while watching it.

We got to see Fantasmic and the Pixar fest fireworks show on the 19th. It was PHENOMENAL 😍 we could only afford one day in disneyland but it was a magical & very fun day for sure ✨️ 😊

Oh my god this show is so nostalgic. My family had annual passes so we went like every Saturday when I was young. I honestly miss those times. Now everything is nightmarishly expensive and Disney as a whole fell off

Fantasmic has always been my favorite nighttime show at the Disney parks, such a shame the iconic Dragon AKA: “Murphy” has been burned up in the fire last year. But I guess “B-Mode” Maleficent is better than nothing for the time being.

Hi @DylanPix Wow you did an excellent job of recording fantasmic, the way you scoped in and out for each scene was wonderful, the way you did The Monkees, King Louie and the princesses on the Rafts and the Mark Twain the way you scoped in to Mickey as steamboat Willie and the whole Mark Twain seen you did so well. You are really awesome with your camera. I used to have a camcorder and my fiance was in a band and I would record the gigs that were done. So from One camera person to another you are great. Were you standing on the bridge going Adventureland to New Orleans when you recorded Fantasmic? I have found out through the years that is the best place to view and record or take photos of fantasmic, you don't have to worry about getting wet or having someone in the way to do recording or photos, the only problem you have to be there at least an hour or so to get a good spot, but it's worth it. I wish there was a way I could get a recording of what you had done with fantasmic for my enjoyment. Thank you O.H.

Fan since the first version of Fantasmic!. We used to live 5 mins from the park and used our "Premium Passes" extensively. We'd often go just for dinner and to watch Fantasmic! That said, I know things change but the last couple versions of the show, for me, aren't nearly as good as the original. And NOT having the Dragon is pretty pathetic. WDW still has a Dragon. They couldn't come up with something, more controlled, in order to include it? Pretty weak for my tastes. Kudos to thsoe who still love it.

When the flower first appears, it has a outer circle of petals and an inner circle as well, but after the break between when it first appears and to the snake part, the inner circle of the flower is gone… are they using some of the petal people for the snake?

I think one of the other comments pointed out that if the dragon is experiencing technical difficulties, they just have Maleficent on that big tower thing as a backup. Maybe they're updating the dragon so that it has better fire protection or something. That's just my hypothesis though.

Honestly this doesn't hit as well as the original version. Grew up in Disneyland (only half joking). It doesn't give us chills like the original. Still it's very good.

@@deathsfox8024 I only saw this show in its entirety for the first time in 2018, so I never got to see the original :( Back then, I used to get chills every time… now, not so much. Little changes they’ve made, like the timing of Mickey’s lift, getting rid of the flames on the monkey barges, among other things, have made the show worse in my opinion. Every time I watch the show now, there is either something missing or something broken. The show is still good, but the extreme attention to detail just isn’t there anymore.

😂😉 Its gonna take time for them to do that as since the great Fantasmic Murphy conflagration happed in last year in 2023 and poor old murphy was incinerated down to his animatronic base and i have since read it will cost them 1 million us dollars rebuild and replace him ! ...I do hope he comes back BUT Disney has never had any luck with him (hence his nick name hes called murphy because of murphys law) even one in the festival of fanasy parade caught fire in 2018 ( luckily staf and cast members put it out with fire extingushires ( i say luckily as he was driven as a float in the parade by a driver situated in the front aruond his torso neck area so Murphys haed was above the driver and thats were that fire started! thnk god the driver got out and no one was hurt in that incident ! ...i kinda LIKE what they have done to replace Murphy in this years show BUT yep its not the same without him!

I think the intro and finale is better, the stunts are better, and the use of the Columbia and Mark Twain is epic. I understand why people like WDW’s though. Given that the options were probably to have no show at all, or a show with no dragon, I think they’d rather choose the latter. I wouldn’t call it a fail… I still think it’s a good show, and I think most would agree. I also think that it takes more than a year to repair all of the damage the fire caused, make sure everything is safe, program and design all of the new/changed effects in the show, cast the show, and rehearse the show. Also, don’t be too disappointed, because the current rumor is that a new dragon is being built outside of the U.S. :) Thanks for watching!
