Or at the end of all of this, it's Dumbledore that gets Newt killed. Which may add to a lot of the guilt and regret Dumbledore carries throughout his life, especially in regards to Harry. Harry was the only one that could defeat Voldemort for what it was and it was inevitable, but he specifically chose Newt out of everyone else to carry out his mission. HE chose Newt so whatever happens is on him and only him.

Well he had to, nobody could win the war without him, nd with his brilliance and skills, if he doesn't manipulate, people won't do anything right. People are not actually very good when emotions are involved. And he didn't use his skills for the personal gain , it was all for greater good. He felt guilty just the same. He gave up his life without any fear, just like he always believed, his life treated like another pawn in his game. Its like a puppet show. The puppets themselves are not able to do anything. All wars are like that, nd they require sacrifice. The leader does what he thinks is right nd present it with fluffy clouds so others can follow. The logical choice is often not the 'right' choice. But life is anything but 'right'. There is a reason why Voldemort feared only dumbeldore, coz he was the only one powerful enough, to see beyond the emotions nd the niceties nd do the logical thing(watch the imitation game). U can hate him for being that, but don't say that he was wrong.

The One people do hate dumbeldore. And while I understand what are you saying, the alternatives to all those situations were not great either. And hind sight is always 6/6. I am just saying , I have heard people talk about dumbeldore like he was this genius, indifferent kid who liked playing with people's life. While it's ok to hate him for his choices, not one other character , could have done what he did. He tried his best. And yes I agree that his mistakes nd responsibilities are far greater coz of his brilliance. I personally feel, if he actually tried explaining all his actions to people, they will oppose him nd hence there will be no result whatsoever, hence manipulation. Like even Snape was disgusted by the thought, that Albus was rearing harry as a sacrificial lamb. But at the end he had to see, there was just no other way (that is according to Albus's theory). Albus would have confronted Voldemort, if not for that damned prophecy. He knew no matter what he did or didn't do, the final show-down will be between those two only. And he had to prepare Harry for that, even if it meant making those terrible choices for them.i also think, what he did had a lot to do with this being a book, coz if he's Soo generous to the underdogs(hagrid,lupin,newt etc), how come he just ignored Harry's childhood nd Snape's abuse. Like in real life dumbeldore would never stand for that, it just doesn't sound like him. Like harry himself defended him at the king cross/afterlife scienario. I never overlooked his manipulation, I felt it during reading the deathly hallows, as harry started connecting dots, but during final chapters, I could understand what he did and why he did it. And I just couldn't hate him for that. I felt he was really tormented by all what had transpired. Next to Snape, I think Albus was the loneliest characters. All those secrets, no one to turn too. Overwhelming guilt and problems to solve. It's just my opinion.

The One well 1) there is no excuse for Harry's childhood. But the alternative was to have him placed in a wizarding family(they would have suffered the fate of the Longbottoms). Were he will be in constant danger by the surviving death eaters. Not to mention, go through things a child shouldn't have. People already treated him differently, but people were also afraid of him, thinking he was some kind of dark wizard. Remember what happened in the 2nd year.u can't think it would have protected him from abuse, it would just have been a different kind. Either he had become like Dudley, unable to take care of himself. Or turned into a Obscurus. Which in my opinion is far worse. Dumbeldore genuinely believed Dursely will take care of harry(remember HBP). And again i really think it's cause it's a book. In real life he will not do such a thing. Lupin and Sirius were guardians I think u r referring to, but they couldn't care for him either. Besides harry had to live with Dursely's only during summer coz he was at all other times at hogwarts, attending school, Under the care of dumbeldore. The magic will only work until harry could call privet drive his home(if he relocated, it will not be his home,it didn't depended on the time frame). So it clearly dismisses every other possibility. I really wish things could be different. But there was no other way. Harry loved Hogwarts , nd in Soo many ways wizarding world was an absolute improvement, but that didn't save him from going through further Abuse at the hands of Draco, Snape, Skeeter, fudge etc. Everybody tried to control him. Only dumbeldore, and his friends stand in there way. He was just really really lucky. 2) as for 5th year. Dumbeldore took the logical route. How do you tell a 15yr old he is going to die ,who as u so clearly pointed out, was already suffering from PTSD, dealing with dementors, hearing, UMBRIDGE etc.He thought he will be in Hogwarts protected by his circle of friends, always in front of other teachers. People always kept eyes on him u know, he didn't even realize that. And if Snape just had given him a hint that he is going to act, nothing would have happened, or if he stopped to think. Creecher was a very important factor too, coz every attempt to reach Sirius failed ( I would have said, dumbeldore told you so, if the result was not so much grave). even when he didn't knew about his connection , he knew Voldemort will use occlumency to control him. That is why dumbeldore asked him to take occlumency( it was not stupid, it was logical) coz that is what u learn to keep wizards out of your mind. As harry himself said he was just not the type. He just didn't care coz Sirius was in trouble. It's a classic move of putting the loved ones in danger to draw u out.Hermione pointed it out. But u have to understand, harry doesn't actually listen to people.even if he had known about the connection he would have gone anyway. Yes he himself confesses that he should have put more faith in him, nd hindsight is always 6/6. U can't think dumbeldore knew this was gonna happen. Not to mention all the shit he was personally dealing with, the ministry, school, OFP, Horcruxes, etc. But thought he was protecting him, don't u see, this is the time dumbeldore let slip, even after everything he really did love harry, nd he cried coz he knew he just can't save harry. It was his love for him that resulted in Sirius' death ( not to mention his own inability to rein his impulses). He was NOT RESPONSIBLE for Sirius's death. 3) and yes he was lonely coz Everytime he tried becoming close to someone shit like this happens. I mean how do u get over the fact, that u r responsible for your sister's death. Even in his last days he was tormented. He could only depend on his brilliance. Nd yes nobody could match him, and we only connect with other people who r similar to us in some ways, ex Nicolus Flammel, Newt. that is why he couldn't share his plans. Others were too focused on the short term solution. (Watch imitation game, u will understand what I am saying). I am not saying he didn't make mistakes, or they didn't have the worst consequences. But he did what he thought was best. That made him took the logical solutions. Morally yes, it does look totally skewed. But he was only human. Brilliant as he was, he didn't have all the answers, or could see the future.. my point is nobody else could have done half the things he did, coz u simply can't.

Sirius's death was multifactorial. He himself was responsible for it, in some ways 1) Creecher, the one responsible for orchestrating all that, nd stopping harry from reaching sirius. Dumbeldore warned him to be kind to him. 2)He taunted Bellatrix (I didn't expect anything less), nd as unhinged as she was even for a death eater, that was not very tactical. 3) Sirius was there coz of his own choice. 4) harry knew Voldemort can control him, nd can enter his thoughts. But he just didn't care. Coz he is a very emotional character. 5) I don't understand why Snape didn't, drop any hint to Harry, don't tell me he couldn't, he knew how impulsive he could be about Sirius. UMBRIDGE was not of consequence by then, not to mention he is a skilled wizard. And where was he when harry left for London. 5) I am surprised more people didn't die coz death eaters, so easily use 'Avada Kedavra', nd there is no shield which can save u from the spell. 5) dumbeldore rounded up most of the death eaters before more harm Could be done. I don't think Sirius's death, was dumbeldore's fault. He took the blame, nd even though in some ways he was responsible for the torment harry had gone through the year, harry KNEW about Voldemort being able to control him.( Even if he didn't, after what happened with Mr. Weasley he and the others had very good instincts about what was going to happen). HE JUST DIDN'T KNEW WHY?.

I like how Johny just can be anyone he want to. The first his movie which I watch is Pirate of Caribbean. Then I watched the movie which he played as a father who was an ordinary officeman. The contrast between a silly captain and a panic ordinary man, who never hold gun, really strike me. It make me wonder if he was the same man who was from PoC. All the movies and shows are about "being dark" "getting darker" "taking a darker approach" I personally like the first 2 fantastic beast movies because they are entertaining and exiting without being too dark. I watched the frist 3 harry potter movies several times but I can't sit down and watch the other parts to "have a good time" they are depressing. I would pay to sit in the cinema for an hour just to watch the Niffler cleaning itself, or seeing the inside of News suitcase with all the other beasts. The beasts getting fed, running around, playing... I don't need depressing and dark moments. There are enough in real life. No idea why film always want to make things darker. A little seriousness and sadness is ok but if all movies are like this it becomes too repetetive. Can't wait for directors to realize this and start making happy movies that still have a lot of fantasy and wonder to them
