Best Sigma footage yet. Absolutely beautiful work and the soundtrack was enchanting. What an inspirational piece to start my day with ❤.

Absolutely stunning footage. How do think the Sigma would fair as a real estate videography camera. Im not worried about the frame rates the Sigma offers or the lack of IBIS
@DylColeman3 ай бұрын
Thanks! And I would say it would probably perform well as a real estate camera. It’s dynamic range is great and it’s definitely small enough to throw on a gimbal for some nice sweeping shots

@@DylColeman indeed one could shoot a hole movie on a wide like that. Actually Wong Kar Wait did just that in Fallen Angels :)

Fantastic work Dylan. I wonder if its worth it to lose the great OIS of the pana 24-105 for slightly more special rendering of the TT (that will be un-noticeble once done with Devinci Reaolve). Then you have that single AF to start the clip in Pana that I dont have here. Its comfi cause at least you know you got it when starting. Just a thought.

All good food for thought. There’s always trade offs, but that’s what I love - finding out what matters to you most as a creator. Any tool that sheds more light on my creative identity is a good one

Amazing work! The comp and the music are perfect 👌🏾. Congratulations for the baby 🎉. By the way your wife is an exceptional model, very talented! Not sure if you direct her a lot but the videos are great 🔥

Thank you, thank you 🙏🏾 and my wife will appreciate you saying that. I do direct her a little bit, but by now she’s got the hang of it 🙂 I think she would probably say I direct her too much lol

1:30 awesome awesome atmospheric footage, did you bumped up the shadows here for the branches to have details or it was more like a good choice of location that already has the branches well lit even if it is inn shade?
@DylColeman Жыл бұрын
A little bit of both. I shoot mostly at ISO 100 in the fp which has great detail retention in the shadows at that ISO, but terrible highlight rendering so I have to underexpose the image quite a bit. In Post, I bring everything up, not just the shadows, but I also DO pay special attention to bringing up the shadows to a point that still feels natural but has some contrast as well. Also, it was just a PERFECT time of day in that area. No substitute for great light. Thanks for watching!

Hey man! I was looking for this ttartisan 17mm lens for my Sigma FP as a budget wide angle lens. Can you recommend this lens for this camera? How much do I need to crop it to get rid of vignetting? Is it worth it in the end or there's some better budget options? Thanks for your content!
@DylColeman9 ай бұрын
So you don't have to crop in at all because their is a toggle on the fp that allows to switch to essentially an APS-C mode. It's called "DC Crop". When you have that turned on it takes care of the vignetting completely. That being said, you're not getting the FULL angle of view for the 17mm focal length, but it makes the lens useable on the camera. I would say it's worth it since it's not very expensive. It has some nice qualities to it. The shot of my wife alone in the field is honestly one of my favorite shots I've ever taken on the fp

@@DylColeman thanks for your reply! After a bit of research I decided to order the Pergear 14mm 2.8 lens. It's the cheapest and widest (not fisheye) lens I found with the native l-mount. Anyway, thanks for your videos, keep it up!

Awesome. Which mount lens for the ttartisan?
@DylColeman Жыл бұрын
L mount. Wanted to get a lens that I didn't have to use with the MC-21 converter.

I have the Artisan 17mm but doesn't fit on my Canon M50. What adapter do I need? (New to all this, thanks!)
@DylColeman6 ай бұрын
Hey there! Canon uses an EF mount for their bodies so you’ll need an adapter that changes whatever mount your lens has (mine has an L mount) to a proper variety of EF. I believe the m50 uses and EF-M mount, not sure if a regular EF adapter will work

TTartisan lenses are awesome ^^ i really like ur shoots with the FP 🤩. I anamofaked all the budget series and the pictures are amazing. if you're looking for a full frame ttartisan lens, check the 25mm and 50mm f2 pancake lenses... Congratulations to both parents for the baby❤.

Agreed. And thank you, we’re really excited. Thanks for the recommendation, too! I’ll have to check those out. Are they still reasonably priced?

Bro is sigma fp good compared to sony a7m3
@DylColeman Жыл бұрын
They’re both great cameras. Sigma fp is missing a lot of niceties that a lot of other cameras have though - autofocus, ibis, compressed raw formats. It’s up to each person to decide if those are things they can life without or not. For me, I like the image that the sigma fp puts out, but thar slightly different aesthetic isn’t as important to some people

This lens looks terrible on other cameras 😆. But not on sigma fp. Must be those 12bit 4:4:4 cdng files 😁
@shueibdahir4 ай бұрын
The cdng files have no color. They're just 12bit bayer data. But yes there is a substantial difference between raw bayer data and "video files"
@smalldeekgeorge4 ай бұрын
Yes of course. Not talking about colors. Cnd files can get better resolution from sensor cause 4:4:4 color subsampling. 😁
@shueibdahir4 ай бұрын
@@smalldeekgeorge I'm sorry to be that guy but CMOS sensors are 4:2:2 💀 don't let camera company marketing lie to you Green photosites being half the total resolution of the sensor with red and blue being a quarter each. You already know how debayering works so i wont bother you with it What makes the sigma fp awesome is that it fully bypasses the internal processing completely. Same goes for canon magic lantern
