We call it a fence row or a hedge row. That depends if there is truly a fence in it or just trees and brush as a separation between two fields. Nice score Mike.

The 120 excavator is a nice size, big enough to be very productive but small enough to be moved on a trailer behind a dump truck. Or a low boy with standard 18 wheel configuration. The 120 stands for 12 metric tons or 12 long tons in north America speek. Before any options are added to the machine. So for example, the 50 machine you used, thats 5 long tons.

@KNLFirewood it's not terms we commonly use at all, but it's a way of comparing a metric ton 1,000kg to something where cinda used to. A metric ton is exactly 2,204.6 lbs A long ton is exactly 2,240 lbs Technically a 2,000lb ton is considered a short ton, but no body actually says that. . About the only commonly used time the term long ton is used by itself, is in ship displacement.

Outside of my time, fuel, and truck/trailer wear and tear. I learned long ago nothing in this world is truly "free". It might not cost you any dollar bills directly from your wallet, but there is a cost. Cheaper than buying the same quantity from a logger though!

Yep not any terms ive heard before. Line tree is usually what i call them, when the property line literally goes through the tree. . you take every other one, is the excepted rule for a commercial on the books harvest. As its usually not a farm field, but a farm crop of trees. So your takeing far more then just stuff in close proximity to a property line. . Do modified box store machines count as to slow. LOL see video (Had to remove link, yt AI at there finest) In short, it started life in the 1980s at 18 seconds and is now 8 seconds. Its version 3.0 now. version 2.0 was 14 seconds. LOL

Seems like my chainsaws have a knack for finding metal regardless of where the tree came from! I used to work at a sawmill and we found an entire horseshoe inside a log before!

Boy are you the luck guy with friends and neighbors that not only fix your equipment but supply you with awesome logs for firewood instead of most junky tree service wood.
