I think this is an underrated superhero movie. Michael Chiklis playing The Thing is kinda like Dave Bautista playing Drax. Not the flashiest of characters but they were perfect for the roles

One of the things that helped Michael Chiklis was that he stated that The Thing was his favorite character as a kid and so when he got the role he put everything into it.

They had to DRASTICALLY simplify Doom's origin for the movie. In the original comics, Doom isn't made of metal, he doesn't have super strength or electric powers. He is a "normal" human with a powered exoskeleton suit like Iron Man that gives him many different powers. He is not a CEO, but a KING of a small country he conquered called Latveria, which is where the ship was going to. He would often use robots that look, act, even think like him as decoys, so even when defeated...it was merely a robot copy. He also learned to use MAGIC from his mother, who was a witch. Doom has fought gods and won. He's a very interesting character, but no movie has really done him justice yet. Darth Vader was also partly inspired by Doctor Doom.

Honestly, I love Jessica Alba as Susan Storm/Invisible Woman and Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm/The Thing, but it's really interesting to see Chris Evans as any other Marvel Comics character, aside from Steve Rogers/Captain America.

Ya they were one the first superhero teams the first one that was actually a family Johny and Sue are brothers and sister Reed and Ben Grew up together. They live and travel through time and dimension unknown together. Sue and Reed get married and have kids Valeria and Franklin Richards one of whom as a kid created a tiny universe in his hands essentially a god.

Born at the dawn of the Marvel age of comics (1960s). F.F. was the original superhero team, first family of the Marvel universe and created by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby. More than heroes or known in the public eye, even handling family problems as if they're real people. That's what Stan wanted in making them more human. I grew up watching 2 of the F.F animated series (80s/90s) and that's how I knew of them before reading the comics. While bathed in the cosmic storm, each character becomes a living personification of themselves. Developing powers based on their personality. The very-first F.F. movie (1994) was kinda hokey, but I thought it was a nice try. I don't think Stan Lee liked it after he saw and wanted it to be better in terms of quality. One of my favorite superhero movies in 2005. It caught the flavor of the concept as I knew it would be at the time. The theatrical version is good. The extended version is great. The similarities/differences between this and the comics are what they are. The casting of Ioan as Reed, Jessica as Sue and Julian as Doom was perfect. Also Michael Chiklis was a big fan of the comics and wanted the role of Ben Grimm/The Thing more than anything. Chris Evans as Johnny Storm/Human Torch was casted as the script didn't have much dialogue and he made it work with some 'on the spot' ab-libs. Between the 1994 version, the much-underwhelming 2015 version and until we see them in the MCU; the 2000s F.F. films were the best interpretation.

Doctor doom hates the fantastic four for Two main reasons. Professional/intellectual jealousy. Doom is brilliant but to even consider there is someone else who may be his intellectual equal is a jagged pill to swallow. This caused him to dislike Richards from the beginning, despite being college roommates

So the main five are Johny Storm a walking flamethrower with nuclear potential and then some who really does start as that cocky kid he's the youngest ,Benn Grimm The Thing who's strong enough to fight with marvels strongest at least earth based heroes Reed Richards arguably the smartest man born on earth a genius inventor with the ability to stretch his body in anyway he can imagine and as he learns his brain is physically expanding -in some comics -Sue Storm-the best-A genius scientist in her own right who can make shield small enough to be inside a person and kill them or large enough to cover the team anything in her eyeliner she can make invisible. Victor is the Lord of Latveria-basicallya romani people-master of technology and magic both.

Good job, ladies, this movie was made by Fox who had bought the rights from Marvel in early 2000s. Fox made one more installment in 2015 about the Silver Surfer and Galactus which our heroes must confront. The rights reverted back to Marvel when Disney bought Fox in 2017 so the third Fantastic 4 movie starts filming this April and will be a part of the MCU. You guys saw Dr Strange in Multiverse of Madness; John Krasinksi played Richard Reed on the Illuminati in that film which is the same character as Mr Fantastic in this movie you reacted to. 👍🏻

I watched all 3 Fantastic 4 flicks on Disney Plus Streaming Service it was completely epic superhero team fighting against 2 super criminals Doom & Gal actus the planet eater but after they finish the crime fighting the 2 criminals were charged for public destruction & eating planets and sentenced for 90 whole years in jail.
