People hated this movie because they made Galactus a cloud (the studio thought showing him would be too ridiculous at the time), but I didn't know anything about the comics when I was a kid, so I didn't mind it. The silver surfer looked amazing and I can't wait to see this cast back in Secret Wars!

I think one of the major issues was also that the silver surfer's motivation was ridiculous when he showed he suddenly could have killed galactus on his own the whole time, but chose to murder worlds upon worlds until he happen to meet someone who just looked like his wife lool.

The Silver Surfer definitely sells this movie! But them making Johnny Storm pretty much become a "Super Skrull" minus the shape-shifting after touching the Silver Surfer was cool. I think that would've been set up for the 3rd movie where the actual Skrulls are introduced.

Norrin Radd NEEEEEDS to come back in the future of the MCU. God he is such a cool character, I know that Galactus will be coming eventually so hopefully he comes with him. Also this movie did another good job with Doom, in the comics and the first Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, he at times tried to get some ultimate power to rule the world before finding power on his own through a combination of magic and tech

THANKS for this!!!!! I have been a FF fan for 45 years and the Silver Surfer and Galactus are my all-time favorite fantasy characters. The five minutes that the FF first confront the Surfer in this film are to me the most FF the group has been on screen in all four films thus far (and yes, I'm counting Corman because the last 10 minutes of that film almost worked :) ) . I hope the MCU gets that the FF is/are a family of explorers the way it got that Tony Stark was a man who was better with machines than with people. FF filmmakers get too stuck on the curing-the-disability or celebrity aspects, which have been serious, heartbreaking mistakes.

The Stan Lee cameo is based off a PREVIOUS Stan Lee cameo, where Stan had written himself and Jack Kirby into the comic book version of Sue and Reeds wedding years earlier, possibly decades earlier, where they got denied at the door in the same way.
