I swear, the scene in the gas station is like some comedy sketch. A flashy costumed comic book super villain arrives in his pimped out car, the attendant somehow isn’t impressed and talks of it like it’s a normal car, causing the villain’s ego to explode out of control as he wrecks up the place just because no one acknowledges his amazing super car he worked so hard on.

y'know Magneto, if you're moving your car around with your magnet powers, I don't see the point of you having a steering apparatus in it

4:13 Actually it's a federal crime to tamper with a mailbox. Magneto's in big trouble for this one.

Man, these old cartoons are a goldmine of material for your comedy. And there's that shirt that I'm not _at all_ extremely jealous of again.

I have to imagine this takes place sometime in the future where Magneto has just gone senile and escaped whatever retirement home they put him in after his retirement from pro-mutant terrorism.

Funny how Magneto was your typical supervillain before they gave him an actual origin and backstory DECADES later.

You think Magneto does this all the time? Like when he goes to the grocery store he opens the regular doors with his powers to gloat? “Pathetic humans! The Great Magneto has no need for your automatic doors!”

Money is printed with magnetic inks as a way to reduce counterfeiting. So he should have been able to lift the money.

I know what Phelous means. This episode was my intro to the Fantastic Four (and Magneto) too. I remember being so confused when I saw the comics and thinking "Hey, where's H.E.R.B.I.E.? Who's this fire guy?"

I love how he busts-out an entire soliloquy about the woes of traffic. Then plays the sovereign-citizen card. "I'm not driving, I'm Magnetoing."

A few years later, it was revealed that the "Magneto" the Fantastic Four encountered was in fact a defective Magneto clone created by Mister Sinister and said clone went rogue and escaped in the outside world to start a career as an professional bank robber. Fortunately for us, Mister Sinister deliberately dialled back the Magneto clone's intelligence to prevent him from realising the scope of his incredible powers...which explains why this faux Magneto got defeated by a wooden gun.

i can actually see what they were going for in originally wanting Johnny in _Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends:_ iirc, the two really ARE pretty good friends in the comics

I don't care what new animated project Marvel does that features Herbie, if Phelous isn't voicing that robot I'm not watching, that delivery of the "inhibitor chip removal" was gold.

Imagine if the gas station attendant ticked off Black Suit Spiderman. "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME! I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!!!"

If only Magneto had his own team of super-powered beings who were loyal to him to help him rob banks. Sadly, as we all know Magneto always worked alone... And was a Fantastic Four villain. Damn, this was a new level of stupid.
