The Irish Band is undoubtedly the Best, they are excellent musicians, play always beautiful marches, though i'm not yet able to put a name to each march. Step by step!! Thank you M.E. for this lovely video. Nice weekend to everyone!

@vickyRoyalHistory Ciao Vicky, happy sunday to all! I can see you know all about everything, even smallest details: tunics, buttons, stripes, cuff, instruments... yes, I could notice the white stripes of Sir William's tunic, not buttons or cuff. About instruments, I only know guitar, organ and pianola, as I sing in my parish chorus. At moment there are 3 guitarists and 1 organist; the violinist studies in North Italy and joins us when on holiday, the drummer is busy and the keyboard player is our ex music teacher (he is a doctor in physiotherapy now, too busy to follow us). They all are very good! I'd have a small question: during drills i often hear Chambers saying "Giga" or similar to the guards. What does he really say? Thank you very much for your "free lessons"😀 Have a nice sunday afternoon and new week. Ciao!

Thanks for another excellent video, Military Events! Having this to watch was a welcome surprise on this Saturday morning, when I believe that the normal guard-change and music at Windsor today had to be cancelled because of an (unrelated) organised environmental protest nearby in the Great Park. Great to hear and see the march "Trafalgar" in its entirety.

Beautiful Military Brass Band 😊 brings Joy to all 😊 & the red tunic is absolutely stunning red as a child loved the toy soldier with his red tunic on & Mother adored the Military bands & the beloved Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip RIP sorely missed but never forgotten as the duty & respect they gave to Great Britain 🎉

Fantastic video! Did anyone else hear 'Trafalgar'? 😂 I did! Spiffing Side Drummers as always. The marches played were, 1) 0:01-Trafalgar (Just Spiffing!) 2) 2:44-Guards Armoured Division 3) 5:59-If You're Irish & Begorrah

@@AnnofWales21 Hahaha, you've picked up a lot of my little traditions. Thought I'd change it today, don't want to seem robotic and repeat the same thing over and over, even though one could say what I do seems repetitive. 😅

@delvinrodriguez3341 Well seeing as the comment I thought I'd made to the poster has ended up as a reply to your comment I obviously need more lessons and instruction, repetitive or not😊

I always wonder about some no saluting sentries showing no respect.
@christophertipton23182 ай бұрын
I wonder if they are required to salute, or its just optional for those gate guards to do so? I imagine if it is required, someone will probably bring it up. I know when I was in the US Marines, a sentry was not always required to salute depending on his post and orders. Most did require a salute, but not all. If it was required and you didn't render proper honors, your world was going to fall in on you. An example of a non-saluting assignment was as a brig chaser (prisoner guard) nor was the prisoner allowed to salute. In fact, everyone, including officers, steered clear of a chaser and his prisoner.

I think it’s optional, @vkh08

I think there is no army in this world where soldiers in uniform have not learned to salute a superior to show their respect. It was one of the first things I learned in my service time.
@christophertipton23182 ай бұрын
@@vkh08 Very true. I know we learned on day one of Receiving Barracks how to salute and started memorizing the 11 General Orders of a Sentry. in fact, here is the 10th General Order: To salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased.
