Awesome lifts! These are Otis 2000 VF lifts, they have heavy duty doors like the ones in Bluewater and The Oracle in the UK. These are most likely mods but with perhaps only the cab original.

Ahhhhh right. I think these got fully replaced in 1996 when the old Jervis St Hospital was gutted out then refurbed into the shopping centre, but I could be wrong

Gotta love these lifts. Next time I'm in the city centre I must try and get a full trip in one of these; I've never been all the way from -1 to P5. I've also never in my life ridden those Tesco express lifts. Now that I've seen the serials I'm thinking these are Europas, as the only other ones I know with an NW serial were the ones at Market Cross Kilkenny, and they were Europas. That could very well be completely wrong, so do forgive me if that is the case XD

Defo go early in the morning, they get so busy in the afternoon and evenings. The Tesco lifts aren't as interesting in my opinion, but they're still great! The part that got me were the COPs; no 2000 VF I know has the panels like American lifts, but it might just be a once off

Class yokes, so was the old glass 2000VF in the middle, shame that was replaced..

Yeah; it was a loss to the aesthetics. Ridiculous considering there's still no step-free access out to Jervis St and there's nothing on U1

As far as I know they are modded. Originally this shopping centre was a hospital then was converted in 1996; these are a very custom installation by Otis and like nothing I've seen before
