luv all btcc's , assetto corsa is still my fav sim game , so many mods etc , it keeps getting better! Thruxton is a awesome track & is the closest circuit to me , great stuff jason dropped you a sub👍

I run the vanilla version of AC but with the aid of Content Manager, SOL and Custom Shaders this title can look as good as any out there mate 👍

BTCC cars on rF2 is the best I know of, and the FFB is so detailed that you can feel if you squash an ant. Graphics wise, official content is very good also. But hey, AC is good, no questions about it! Just not the best, by a mile...

@@RDEstevao this is my only problem with rf2. FFB detail can be too much a lot of the time, and this is not as realistic. You get a lot more random jolts than cornering forces etc...I'll check them out though. They do seem like well modeled cars, and btcc is a great series.

Man, it's such a travesty that so few people bother with the Super Touring cars these days. Whenever I want to step away from online racing and just do a single player racing on my own, I find myself go back to running through an imaginary touring car championship season with PM3DM's brilliant mods of the Primera, 320i and Volvo S40. Just an incredible amount of fun. But yes, I actually purchased Duke Video's BTCC Season Reviews 1997-1999 and watch them every now and then, just some incredibly exciting, brilliantly close racing. Super Tourers were awesome machines, it's just too bad they costed way too much to be sustainable. But I feel like all of my favorite racing was from the late 90s; GT1's, Group A Rallying, Supertourers in the BTCC and STW, it was a brilliant time for racing.

The late 90’s did produce some great racing machines a lot of which I find myself racing in various sims and if a super touring video pops up in my KZbin feed it’s always an instant click for me 👍

Thanks mate and that’s a tough one to answer if I’m honest. I really like them both but I think the FFB in RF2 really shines through for me and gives the BTCC cars in that sims the edge from a technical point of view and they are really well modeled as well. But the nostalgia the cars in AC provoke is very compelling that’s why I think i would have to pick them over the new cars in RF2.

I think I just tweaked the brake bias and just went for it. I just try and hold on as best I can through the high speed section !

I love AC but its hard to find online races for all the cool content it has. I don't really enjoy racing ai. Any recommendations.

This is a tricky one mate. If you want to stick with AC then you will most likely have to find some popular leagues. If you don’t mind using another sim then you have RaceRoom but this is only really busy during euro evening time zones, then if you like GT3 you have ACC which always has a public lobby open or there is iRacing which can be expensive but does have 24/7 online racing.

Sim Racing System is pretty good for online AC racing, with a constantly changing set of races to choose from (including some with the Primera BTCC car and the Ginettas). Worth a look!

i got these but they won't go in gear, im using a thrustmaster shifter and it works with other cars...

These touring cars use a sequential gearbox which means they wont work if you have your Thrustmaster shift set to H Pattern, try using the paddles on your wheel rim to see if that works and if so swap your shifter into sequential mode when racing these tin tops mate.

@@SIMRACINGJASON Yep I used to watch it here in Ireland on BBC back in the day. I remember Alain Menu, Plato, Muller, Harvey...Great thing with modern sims is the ability to relive all of this stuff on modern machinery. A far cry from my TOCA game on the PS1 all those years ago.

I got really frustrated with AC after setting up countless meticulously pieced together championships in content manager to start my race after full qualifying and practice and watch half the grid just sit on the start line for 20 laps!🤷‍♂️

it's because pit crew spots available are different each track , if the track has 10 pit lanes and you pick 20 opponents then 10 won't move
