This beef was the catalyst to Kendrick beef as Kendrick who is real close to Pharrell and has collab with Pharrell heavy in the past also took offense to how Drake moved with Pharrell. Drake even bought Pharrell chain and had claimed to have melt it down with Travis Scott. Lie it was, this is one of the reasons why Kendrick outside of Drake putting his family name in his mouth during the battle, took things personally with Drake and added another L to Drake which also added another L to Wayne and Cash Money indirectly.

I’ve been a huge Lil’ Wayne fan since an early teen. However, this selective outrage is becoming ridiculous. The last few Super Bowls, which were hosted in Las Vegas, Glendale, Tampa, Miami, etc., didn't have any artists of the soil as the headlining act, with the exception of Super Bowl LVI, which was held in Los Angeles and featured performers from the area. Why is it suddenly a problem NOW? Because it’s Kendrick? The last 2 Super Bowls to be held in New Orleans were in 2002, and most recently, in 2013. At this time, Tunechi was gearing up to release “I Am Not a Human Being II”, which included singles like “Love Me" (Jan '13) and "No Worries" (Sep '12), adding to an already amazing catalog. Why wasn't there an outcry when Weezy didn't perform? Folks need to quit building a narrative to paint a negative picture. Wayne is a LEGEND, and the Super Bowl shouldn’t justify his level of stardom.

I feel this whole beef serves as a cautionary tale. Not for Kendrick, Drake or anyone specifically. Moreso, it's a lesson of being "too big to fail" and having such a wide network of powerful figures sitting at the table at once. It's like the whole industry got put in the Rear Naked Choke by this beef and now nobody can make a move or let out a whisper without fingers getting pointed. But yet, here we all gather, eagerly awaiting the next episode. Frankly, though, while I'm sure plenty are steadily entertained by all this, I'm already looking towards the endgame, whenever it comes.

I too was mad when 50 and Eminem were chosen to perform over The Game at the west coast Super Bowl. Then I found out how marketable certain names are in comparison to others.
