The one thing missed about the Raven Guard is they are considered one of the kinder space marines as well. They are known around the imperium as great liberators and are often prayed to for deliverance from the evil they are suffering and deliverance back to the emperors light. People in charge fear them because they know if they go too far, the emperors ravens are listening and watching. the people love them because if they are watching, they will help you. They arent as kind as Salamanders but no one is. But they are loved by the common people more because unlike the Salamanders, everyone thinks anyway, the Raven Guard is always there.

All that is known is that Dorn (who has absolutely perfect memory recall) could only feel the shadow of an outline of a memory of them, he had Malcador unveil his memory, had an existential crisis upon remembering them and agreed to have his memory veiled again. it was originally left open for fans to make their own legions/chapters, but has since been teased for fan speculation.

He can't just take a rock and make it be a gun, it has to be a gun in concept and function - it's just not really functional for anyone else and realistically does not work without a Ork operating it. 33:57 Oh yeah. Angron hated the nails (they were called the butcher's nails, as in the made anyone implanted with them into butchers), but they could not be taken out without making him a vegetable. The knowledge to take them out was lost when the golden age of technology ended. To make things worse, he lead a rebellion, the nails made him a cripple as being constantly angry is not conductive to good strategy. However, he made friends with his other slave mates in the gladiatorial pits. He had the ability to take the pain from others and suffer for them instead, hence why he was empathetic and why the nail were shoved into his head. He refused to fight. So, when the emperor reached his world, he was in the last dregs of his failed rebellion, cornered and about to die in a last stand with his mates. The Emperor teleported him and only him into his ship and refused to save his mates. Angron attempted to kill the emperor that night and failed. The emperor gave him his legion of space marines, but Angron could never get over his friends dying in that last stand while he was unable to die with them. He hated his "sons" and hated the emperor. Tired from a lifetime of being a slave, he hated taking orders and hated people blindly following orders. So he ordered his sons to put a similar contraption in their heads as messed up way of testing them and probably with some hate mixed in. His sons, never educated on his philosophy and after years of being compared with Angron's dead mates and always being told they were inferior, wanted to gain his approval. And that is how we ended up with a legion that cannot be anything but angry and who hate each other as much as everyone else. There is a bit of a silver lining. Some of the space marines from Angron's genes stayed loyal. One can say that part of the empathetic side of Angron survived and fought through the hate haze of the nails. Who knows, but they survived the purge and fostered some chapters. Emperor knows this universe needs a little more empathy.

The Lion was the first Primarch and many of the others looked up to him like an older brother. He was a great general and fighter, the only main issue was that he didn’t have great personal skills. The Lion had an extremely rough childhood compared to most of the others. Most of the Primarchs were found and raised by people at a very young age. The Lion however spent his childhood in the forests of Caliban which were completely infested with warp altered beasts making it one of if not the most deadly planet in the galaxy. He was found as like a teenager in these forests meaning he spent his childhood alone in the forests killing giant warp beasts.

The 2nd and 11th Legions were inspired by the lost legions of Rome. Their Primarchs are referred to as forgotten and the purged. They've since almost been hijacked by the fandom for creating there own legion or chapter... and theyre popular self-inserts for fan fictions too. Typically one being a traitor and the other a victim, but not always. There's whole videos out there about all we officially know about them and speculation about what could have happened to them if you're interested. It's a very fun rabbit hole to go down. Also of note: there's a lot of in lore speculation that the 6th and 13th Legions absorbed surviving Space Marines after their Primarchs meet whatever fate befell them.

The Lion and the Dark Angels destroyed several of the Traitor Primarchs homeworlds during the heresy, they destroyed the Mortarion 's homeworld, Horus' homeworld, Fulgrims homeworld, and finished the destruction of angrons that Angron and Lorgar started when Lorgar forced angrons ascension to Daemon Primarch status. This helped the Imperium greatly as it denied the Traitors a foothold in real space and their main recruitment centers forcing the Traitors to flee into a region where the warp and the real space are mixed called the Eye of Terror. By doing this they have Guilliman as Lord Commander after the Heresy the time he needed to reorganize the Imperium to survive after the Emperor was put on the throne.

Two small but very important things the video left out on the Dark Angels and Knight Lords. The Lion was entrusted with incredibly apocalyptic technology partially for the purpose of the emperor wielding them as a weapon against other Space Marine legions if needed. The extent of which is that he gave the Lion a retinue of air gapped Men of Iron as enslaved super soldiers. The Night Lords got a bit rushed through. Conrad was originally basically super soldier batman on the planet he was stuck on. Unlike the other legions that would just level entire continents until planets complied, Conrad preferred to use smaller scale atrocities to ultimately result in less overall loss of life. His brain kinda broke and he became a psycho after returning to his home planet and finding that after basically fixing the Gotham of 40k it became and even worse shit hole basically as soon as he left. Another skipped tragedy about Angron is that the emperor originally basically engineered him as an empathic marine. After finding him broken by the Butchers Nails that cause hyper aggression the emperor basically gave up on his son and used his legion as a brutal assault force and just sorta let his brain turn to mush.

Jaghatai Khan and White Scars are really cool. They ware some of the most unique space marines out there and along with Raven Guard have the highest concentration of people with common sense lol. Jaghatai Khan had enough common sense to go "Father is an opressive tyrranical asshole but that is not a reason to sell your soul to the literal forces of hell you idiot" which is a lot more than can be said about most of his brothers... He also has some of the best roasts and oneliners in the entire setting. Mortarion stabbed him to death in their duel and as he was dying he was like "btw Sanguinius has much prettier wings than your ugly ass". He is also one of the most humane and "down to earth" of his brothers. He cares about regular mortal humans and is willing to make great sacrifices to save them which shines the most during the Siege of Terra. All of that carried over to his sons as White Scars are some of the most sensible and down to earth marines with good sense of humor who value human life and will go to great lengths to protect it- not quite as great as the Salamanders who will go as far as abandoning their objective to save people, but they will save people if that isn't mutually exclusive with the bigger picture, and even then they won't feel good about leaving them... And just like their father, they have a lot more going on underneath than what appearances might give. They appear like a bunch of savage barbarians, but they are a highly cultured bunch with deep rooted tradition and customs. For example majority of practices of the Librarius (psycher marines) of other legions come from the White Scars, bc Chogoris being a deeply spiritual planet developed ways of protecting yourself from Chaos.

4:30 The Elder Scrolls is my favourite franchise, mainly because it was the first time I seriously delved into the lore of anything, and diving did I go. I was one of those people on the old forums that would converse in essay form, with others that were just as or more obsessed than I was. Haha. I would reccommend having a look at some lore videos for The Elder Scrolls, assuming you're not already familiar. One of the things I enjoy about the way they tell stories, although it is also a little frustrating, is they'll have different books in-game telling the same events from a different race's point of view, and sometimes with conflicting facts, just like in real life. This makes it fun to try to work out what really happened, but sometimes its done so well that it's not possible to work out the truth. You just kinda have to roll with it. 11:00 I guess Salamanders. 53:47 So far we've seen Orks affect the operation of machinery and weapons with their mysterious abilities. To the best of my knowledge, there hasn't been any Orks shapeshifting yet.

3:51 - Warhammer (40K especially) has a very passionate fanbase, even though not all of us have played let alone collect the tabletop wargame minis. There's a lot for us to geek out over and share with new people as they find it. So let me suggest: "If The Emperor Had A Text To Speech Device" by Bruva Alfabusa The Last Church animation Helsreach animated series For other franchises to examine, Star Wars: The Old Republic has a ton of lore and animations to dive into and is largely untouched by any modern Disney corpo-fanfic f*ckery.

5:35 - One thing though - never lie to us. We see the Big Numbers Effect hit a lot of people, but we also know what genuine interest looks like and if someone who isn't at all interested in the universe keeps dropping content that feels phoned in, we leave. Let us know what you honestly feel, and if that means geeking out or saying something doesn't quite hit, be honest about it.

"Legally distinct mark" It's a fleur-de-lys, a medieval heraldic symbol. I'm pretty sure no one has the rights to it. And if someone should have the rights to it, it would be France, because it's a symbol of the kingdom of France since the first frank kings (although it stopped being used after the decapitation of the king XD).

It should be noted that all the Space Marine Legions in Bricky's video are "First Founding" Chapters (that is, they predate the Horus Heresy). After the Horus Heresy, many of the Space Marine Chapters were sub-divided into smaller and newer Chapters in accordance with the newly-written Codex Astartes. See, the Chapters at the time of the Horus Heresy were considerably larger than the 1000-man strong they would later be capped at. For example, the White Scars, while still active, were subdivided into another four Chapters: the Destroyers, the Marauders, the Rampagers, and the Storm Lords. The Salamanders were one of (if not the only one) the Chapters that were exempted from being subdivided into new Chapters because there simply weren't enough of them left to make multiple Chapters out of. Even back in the Great Crusade, the Salamanders were one of the smallest of the Legions thanks to their near-suicidal dedication to protecting civilians. There have been _at least_ 25 other Foundings since the Horus Heresy in which new Space Marine Chapters were created. Among the Latest is the Ultima Founding, which happened in the wake of the Fall of Cadia.

Seeing as how you have author in the title. I would recommend baldermort. Most of his videos have short stories that help set the mood and give context for the content and the universe. He also has ongoing narratives that he has the commenters vote on. You may enjoy it.

Dark Angels fan here. Bricky does a view of the Dark Angels chapter, rather than how they were as a Legion. They were quite different before the Codex Astartes broke the Legions into Chapters. Think of Lion as a Savage Noble (grimdark Tarzan who became King Arthur), an arbiter in the system, an autonomous authority that stands apart, this means that his Legion had some unique organizations. And as the Dark Angels are "The First", they served as the template that all other Legions drew from for their own styles. The biggest is the Wings. As a Chapter they have Deathwing, Ravenwing, Greenwing. However, as a Legion they had the Hexagrammaton, 6 wings which folded into the army and could be redeployed as needed. The Codex isolated two wings to be their own company and the other wings ceased to exist. Deathwing - same as chapter, Heavy infantry and assault, line breaking Ravenwing - same as chapter, recon, skirmish, hit-and-run, rapid attack Ironwing - armored assault, mechanized warfare. Stormwing - boarding action, breeching, rapid infantry Firewing - scout, sabotage, sniping, information & infrastructure warfare. Dreadwing - War crimes division (Terror, weapons of mass destruction, extermination warfare) every Legion / Primarch has some uncouth tactics and weapons they are hesitant to consider, but the Lion devoted an entire Wing to that kind of warfare simply because sometimes it is the best tool for the job.

Okay so, Alpharius and Omegon are two separate people. This has been the *one* reliable piece of info on the Alpha Legion, that yes, there are *two* Primarchs. Not just one pretending to be another person. I *love* these guys, which is really weird, because I also like the Death Guard, and the Death Korps of Krieg. Just, the sheer effort you have to put into keeping track of Alpha Legion stories so you know who's who, is so much fun.

Here is some suggestions for games or series to get into Persona Scp Prodject Moon (I recommend either library of ruinia or limbus company because it is easier to understand gameplay wise and are faster to complete.) I will add more stuff here if I can think of anything Just going to throw FNAF here just cause why not then the hellscape of story/lore/world that is kingdom hearts.

For space marine orks, I’m reminded of the “DeffWatch” meme, where orks will imitate/infiltrate DeathWatch marines, because DeathWatch marines are a huge marine melting pot taken from all the legions. I forget the rest.

The YT Chanel Arbitor Ian does some amazing primer videos on the 40k Universe. I recommend watching his videos on the 40k Timeline in 20 mins and (later) the Horus Heresy in 40 mins. Not as funny as Bricky but really clear and if you want the lore given to you, he serves it well. I will say though, his Horus Heresy in 40 mins video can get rather overwhelming at times what with all the hundreds of events happening at once.
