Fantasy Coffins from Ghana

This video is compiled of interviews with eric Anang in Iowa, and with several coffin makers in Ghana. These are fantasy coffins, modeled in the shape of airplanes, ships, fish, and hundreds of other motifs that mirror the lives of the people who have been buried in them. The video was made in conjunction with an exhibition at the University of Iowa Museum of Art.
