Fantasy is broken? Post-EWC RANT & BLAST Fall Groups

EWC was a total failure for me, let's just not even discuss that one... 😂 However, I gotta thank you for your ideas for this one, Lucy! I was gonna go for a total NPC 2 navi, 2 spirit + norbert draft, but your inputs started to make me think, and I've managed to put together a really strong one: fl1t, norbert, niko, kyxsan, nertz. 3 guys who can take over any game by themselves, a super budget kyxsan, and norbert, the absolute best pick in his price range.

Hey Lucy! finished top 32% at EWC, was expecting a lot more after being top 7% after 1st round padding but i was not expecting g2 and navi to get to the finals! (lets ignore this event tho as you said, what even is EWC) ive found the pricing for this event to be a lot worse than the last, ive gone for a very basic team of chopper, magixx, jL, aleksi and degster i had a draft similar to yours where i had n0rber7 and electronic instead of aleksi and degster but i feel navi are going to continue their good form into this event

I got top 1% in EWC.. What's funny is I even commented in your last video that my draft was mid, so I'm not even going to pretend I didn't get lucky haha. For Blast I got Staehr, jabbi, Aleksib, magixx, chopper. Looking for that Astralis > Vitality upset. Also Aleksi actually scored very low points in EWC and Navi won the event. He really could end up costing points for like half the fantasy teams if Navi doesn't clear their group.

Chopper Magixx Device Bro Aleksib I think Spirit will farm their group but their gold players are too expensive. Chopper + Magixx should get decent points, they saved me in EWC... Im banking on Astralis topping their groub, Device has proven that he can awp while igl'ing and Bro is solid. Navi should top their group and Aleksib is the only decent igl I'm comfortable picking at low price. Good luck!

jabbi - HS Machine kyxsan - Eco Friendly HeavyGod - Multi Fragger electroNic - Attacker Jame - Camper jabbi for 208k is a must pick for me. I think the HeavyGod is going to perform realy well even if Cloud9 lost their matches. kyxsan like you say is nice pick for the price and Heroic for me is cleary the second best team in group A and maybe them win vs Spirit. VP could win over NaVi and elec + Jame was the best VP players of EWC (FL1T for 208k is a good pick too).

Zont1x (Support) (Easy group and stable run of form) FlameZ (Attacker) (bad EWC but otherwise has been very good this year and good price) Kyxsan (Eco friendly) (very cheap and heroic likely second in group) W0nderful (camper) (great EWC and has good roles, alongside pop-off potential) Karrigan (noob) (not a lot of good options left, gambling on Faze winning the group over a questionable G2).

finished top 8% for EWC (would have probably been top 1% but I had floppy lol.) and I have to agree that the first round had wayyy to much impact on the rest of the tournament. Happy to see you back this season! This blast event feels really hard to draft a great team because of the prices of the players

I went with aleksi, jl, jks, zontix and chopper. Im expecting one upset from this event either from cloud 9 or liquid and i belive liquid can definitely beat vp and potentially navi. Reasons for picking navi is the expectation of them coming first or second in their group and im trying a different logic of trying to always draft the #1 team. Spirit have the easiest run and are a must pick. faze while i love, i expect could lose their opening game or second game and i dont want to double up on unreliable point farmers. Vitality are interesting and i could switch out navi for them but it would be for bad price to performance

yeah ewc didnt go the best for me either. anyways going for a pretty low risk team this time: chopper/zontix/aleksib/b1t/norbert I don't like drafting b1t right after the price increase but he fits the money perfectly and he will still perform good

What do you think about aleksib, chopper, NiKo, b1t and interz? I also like swapping out NiKo for zont1x and interz for norb3r7. Not sure about your electronic pick, feels like there is better value at that price point like jL. Tough one to draft due to a lack of good players at certain price points.

@@nwgverified electronic is purely due to not wanting to go jL haha. Niko and b1t are great, but i worry about having 2 stars and 3 weaker players, would personally swap b1t for jL and grab a better player than interz or chopper

I got top 46% pure due to magixx carry,because it was probably one of my worst drafts i've done :') Hope events will never go this way again I'm going for aleksib/jl/chopper/hunter/malbs pretty basic probably didn't feel like going fully for spirit, they have an easy group, but for the price I'm not sure tbh glgl :D

Yeah I actually changed it after posting this Also mostly because I don't like having a whole team that's sitting in the most picked list (had 4/5 then 5/5 with niko/snax) so I went for my other team chopper/niko/hunter/norbert/fame fame is risky but could pay off, could get mezi instead of hunter but I support G2 too much :)

I decided to go B1t/AleksiB/ICY/Interz/Nertz. Call me crazy but after watching C9 play ITB I think currently ICY is being looked down upon a little too much and Interz is sort of underpriced right now, Nertz is a great player and I think that even if Spirit beat Heroic in the final, Heroic will beat anyone in group D.

my 2x mouz 2x faze pick got destroyed bc of not knowing how bracket works on ewc lol still top 45% thanks to xertion and mezii but yeah, double padding for 1 game is nuts and it's weird that it was allowed i have a lot of ideas for this one, i for now have magixx, apex, flamez, yekindar, hunter with this pricing it's hard to go 2 2 1 with teams i want vitality should go through this group, as much as i like new astralis magixx loves to farm against bad teams (not exactly farm, but he gets good enough rating for the price) yekindar is a gamble, but liquid's honeymoon period could happen hunter looks fairly ok right now i will probably change a lot in this lineup, really tempted to do donk/zywoo draft
