I had some amazing holidays in Skegness at Butlins when I was a kid, and Fantasy Island was a firm favourite of ours to visit. So many great memories were made there. It's great to see Fantasy Island looking so great. It looks like they really take care of it. Smashing.

Been going here since I was a kid now I go every year with my family stay just 5 mins away and i still love it the market is great you have Skegness Town center 10 mins away and mapblethorpe 30 mins away always plenty to do my wife and daughter love ot because there's so many arcades 😀

Great video Tim the mellors group also does a little seaside in Nottingham Market Square when allows which is exactly the same as fantasy Island beach with a bar paddling pool and rides for the kids

We've just come back from a visit to Ingoldmells last week (11/07/22). We go there every year. It's a no frills seaside/market town and makes no apologies for that. Our kids love it! We've seen a lot of changes over the years (some of which were a shame) but of course, they were done to keep the place alive and it works! Its a good location too and is well situated to allow day visits to surrounding areas such as Skegness, Mablethorpe, Louth, Boston and Lincoln City Centre. You missed another Market which is just over the road, more or less opposite the entrance to the one you visited (there was also a third just at the end of the road next to the Moody Cow pub but that one has now gone and is a car park (it was quite run down to be fair). It's also worth mentioning that there is great access to the beach (and more amusements) to the right of the market entrance. It's quite a popular beach and has recently had a few pubs and takeaways added to it that are on the edge of the sand (hard standing of course). In season there is often entertainment on the beach stage. Oh, and I think the whole mattress sales etc. is due to the amount of caravans and holiday homes that are in the area. That indoor market is now very empty indeed and has has the front completely cleared of the small units presumably for an up and coming development.

visited skegness last year bloody fantastic bars great ingomelds wow transport great restaurants zero too few lets skeness down shame its got everything else but no great food i do not deny chip pan alley satisfies me but growth of such a fine resort should look this aspect looking forward to this years trip

Here i go again - i mentioned that i was the first person(s) to design light and sound to the now Fantasy Island park (soz for going on) - i remembering arriving to site one bitter day when all that was existing was the galaxy (60s style) showbar (you know - table lamps etc) and a big shed type building called Raffles Disco. My brief was to upgrade the disco lighting - EASY - as all that was in the matt black painted place was 1 x 18” mirror ball and two stage spotlight aimed at it - my o my how things changed Raffles became the new Raffles and then fantasy island - from small beginnings as they say Great videos Cheers Rob Blackight international
