Shanklin Chine is closed as there was a cliff fall close to it a couple of months ago, unfortunately a lot of the south side of the Island has coastal erosion caused by heavy rainfall on blue slipper clay. I am off to Shanklin tomorrow on a day trip to see my Mum 🥰

So they do a selfie in the infinity pool or photograph the buffet the 2020s equivalent of keeping up with the jones/neighbours at home (then complaining when they cannot make the mortgage payments!). Watching this is enough tbh. As an Ex chef who worked in Michelin starred restaurants and lived in the South of France for years. If you are a local the gimmick wears off after a month and its just 'there'... Only the Tourists gush. This is why so many people enjoy places like Japan as its interesting. I feel somehow this just looks like a bit of a Tacky Vegas by the sea. More Airport terminal than experience its Arab roots and culture lost in the perceived what money can buy nonsense. I remember watching 'Around the World in 80 days' with Michael Palin when I was young and thought. Yeah thats how you do it. Also the UAE once you leave the 'compound' albeit a large one as in Hotel. There are some serious cultural restrictions enforced on some members and communities of the human race... That in the West can find better places to enjoy. I am sure you know of what 'communities' I speak. I enjoyed your video though. And your down to earth sensible comments on what is silly... water £5 ripoffs etc. I am curious about how they are with you flaming everywhere although today as mentioned with social media I suspect its par for the course?

You would think that with it being a PH that all those extra wires hanging all around would be out of sight, that everything would be working and clean without stains. I would also think that with it being the PH that all the blinds would be electric and not manual

We holiday every year on this glorious island, if you want a peaceful holiday in lovely surroundings head to... whitefield forest touring Park they are 5 star have won the best caravan park on the island numerous times, they also have brand new for this year 2 stunning luxurious lodges, the site is owned by a lovely family its run by them and was designed and built by them please check them out

wow what an amazing place and in uk so to speak. The haven hotel looked amazing but i wouldnt pay £650 for one night but it did look beautiful. The waterfall the pier and stunning scenery the model village was enchanting thankyou so much tim

Loved the IOW spent many a trip over on the ferry from Portsmouth when I lived there. The hotel looked amazing if you want amazing you have to pay for it. Just my kind of holiday destination and accommodation.

Love the Island, hold a special place in my heart. I have family over there who own a Aberdeen Agus cattle farm and a logistics distributor company. Absolutely stunning place, it really doesnt feel like the uk when you visit in the hot weather ❤
