I couldn't agree more! I was thinking about it the other week, asking myself whether I would start to change the way I dress, wear makeup, my hair etc once I turned 40. But I love colour, bright colours (I really love black though) and started thinking why should I stop wearing bright colours and expressing myself through fashion and makeup just because I'm getting older? Fashion doesn't have an age limit, we try to give it an age restriction but its 2017, time to stop conforming to outdated ideas!

That's my belief as well. I was just talking to a young friend of mine..she's 24. She's getting married in June and I asked her 'what should my husband wear?". Not what I should wear, because she knows better!!! I'll wear black, like I usually do. This same friend, said "Welcome back" when she saw that I had died my hair from blonde to Pink. My friends know me, and know me well, and they know better than to ask or expect anything else.

I work at a book store so my appearance isn't an issue. but make up gets harder to pull off if you're not a total babe, I'm not lol. but monique is helping. Always did different hair color- had Pumpkin color for years! People loved it- never b afraid to b urself! No matter what age, women need to express who THEY are- this is 2017 people! Sophia Lowery wearing that amount of makeup and using that amount of product is going to ensure that you look old like this woman at that age. I know many women who are in her age category and the ones who obsess over makeup look like s*** the most beautiful woman I know with the most spectacular skin wares almost no makeup is 50 and people regularly think she's in her late twenties! putting cheap garbage on your face ages you and you might be able to look good when you first put your makeup on but after five hours living your life you look like a scarecrow and you can't go camping because people start making up wendigo horror stories when they see women like of that in the forest...... I bet she would look just wonderful with a slight natural tan and a little bit of mascara, she's got the complexion of an 18 year old who's fighting her skin with the wrinkles of a six-year-old who's been at war with her skin for decades, yeah caked-on crap does wonders

So glad I found Monique! Encouraging us 'women sages' how to adapt to the changes and having fun doing it! I luv, luv, luv that she's still applying make up 'old school' just the same way Merle Norman taught me in the 80's. She breaks half the rules these other makeup experts say are no-nos for older women and I think she looks amazing. YES, I can still wear a solid foundation..YES, I can still wear concealer, YES, I can still apply blush to my cheeks and YES, I still can still apply my eyeshadow the same way I always have! All I can say is WOW! You are AMAZING!! I'm going on 45 and I'm not loving the changes to my skin; in particular my eyes, the hoods above and more lines underneath. I did go colorful with my haircolor (never thought I could actually pull it off) but what fun I'm having with it! Even without the wig this looks amazing! Your makeup tutorials make me look forward to being 45+ and getting older. Before I found your channel I had this idea that getting older would be this continued cycle of my current life(23), where I continually have to work more and more and more and have less time for fun.. but your videos are proof that you can still make time for things you love and can still have fun fashion at any age. Thank you for this awesome tutorial! I'm honestly going to use a lot of the tips in your videos. I think I've found a new person for inspiration towards future me. You rock! Classy AND fun! I'm 43 and get told I look 27 all the time. I think people lie or just tell us that to be nice. Lol. My so. Is 24 yrs old and everyone thinks we are brother and sister. It's not a bad thing. When I hit 30 I took it bad but when I hit 40 I really took it hard. I buy everything under the moon to help slow the process down from serums and creams to botox and fillers. What will be next? When I hit 50? Lol. Face lift? Lol

AnniePeck........I actually don't think they lie or are trying to make us feel better. =) I have been told this by many people, including people who barely know me, and they are shocked when topic comes up. :) One time I was at a restaurant with my husband and when we ordered drinks, I was carded! (And he wasn't! He is only 6 months older than me) =D So I don't think this many people would tell us this and all be lying. I haven't bought Botox or anything like that (yet) but I do buy cover up cosmetics and wash my face with simple Ivory soap. (that is what my mom does. She is 72 and looks like she is in her 50's) It sounds like you and me have awesome youth defying genes! =D

Watched this on my way to night time job I hate but it’s paying for the course I want to do .instead of going home to sleep tomorrow morning I change and head out to my dementia care job . I finally sleep in the afternoon . Megan Scott I'm 28 and started getting grey white silver hair when I was 16 . When I get older I hope to be like her lol. You should give it a try. Remember hair dye will always be there if you change your mind .
