I am new to the Fantasy Romance genera and I got so many recommendations from this list! I recently read The Serpent and the wings of night and it is my favorite book of the year so far! I am excited to try some of these recommendation! I also LOVE Once Upon a Broken Heart and The Ballad of never after! I am hoping to step away from YA a little bit and read some more Fantasy Romance and I feel like this is a great place to start!

Yes tier list!! Time to watch and look up if the audiobooks are available in the plan I have…nope 😭 I’m almost finished writing the first draft of my first novel so I guess I shouldn’t be distracted 😅 I think Between Wrath and Mercy was in my library because you talked about it. I finally started it (it was included in the plan) and loved it right away! So happy it’s a series and book 2 is part of the plan too.❤ you are so right it’s refreshing to have a more mature character. Love the mama bear so far I’m about 16 chapters in. Not a lot of time to listen.

So glad I found your channel. I have an ACOTAR hangover & looking for some new books to read. I'm finishing up These Hollow Vows right now. It's similar to ACOTAR & I wish she'd have tried to make the story more unique. It was almost like she copied/pasted that series & changed the names.

Completely agree, I actually have a video comparing These Hollow Vows to ACOTAR! The second book does shift away from ACOTAR (slightly) 💕

The books that I liked or love where are your not for you, okay and hate. However, I found it useful because I have a hard time finding books that I love, and hearing you describe why you liked certain books helped me figure out why I like what I like. So thank you and I will check out other videos.

I agree with you on the zodiac academy books 7 and 8. The kindom of star and shadows I read until the second book, and it did not get any better. I don't think i will read book 3.

i LOVE the coven… there are def some issues with things needing to flushed out, but idk it hooked me in a way a book hasn’t in a long time, and I really liked both the mmc and fmc, such a good read!!

That cover for House of Lies and Sorrow is GORGEOUS! But I have a question! I was turned off from Lady of Darkness due to a fluctuation of reviews stating that it was a SJM/Acotar ripoff. Do you agreee with that?

Nope!!! I actually think it’s more similar to FBAA than ACOTAR, but def not a rip-off at all! 💕

Urban fantasy for me, is like spicy fiction. Fiction with a lil flare. Not spicy in the smut term of the word lol. Kinda like the salt bae guy flickin a little extra somethin somethin into the story. I enjoy both urban fantasy and high fantasy, find them both able to help me "escape". :D

I'm still kinda new with the monster romances too, i've read some REALLY great ones but Katee Robert's MR's don't do it for me. Don't get me wrong this is a subgenre that you can't take too seriously, but with these they're just Eh for me.

I read all three books in the kingdom of stars and shadows and by half way through the second book I skipped the sexy scenes which I’ve never done before but they were so frequent and all the same
