Thanks so much for the support. I think it's hard for me to pick one genre as I am very much a mood reader but anything that falls somewhere under the fantasy and romance categories is probably something I will enjoy 😅 what about you guys?

I actually disagree. I think Romantasy is the one with the romance backplot and fantasy romance for years has always been equal factors of romance and fantasy in it. But I think many just don't know what the sub genres actually are. But Fantasy romance has been around for a very long time whereas romantasy is new and mostly labeled by fantasy readers that want to separate fantasy books from fantasy with romance sub plots in them.

yeah thats basically what i was saying! 😆 romantasy is a romance set in a fantasy world, and fantasy romance is a fantasy book with a romance sub plot. I think its hard to distinguish some books when romantasy is being used so broadly for books that don't really fall within what I consider to be that category but with the genre developing I can only see those lines getting clearer! 😁
