This tells me I really need to get to Bound and the Broken. I'm already planning on it but I wanted to minimize the gap to book 4 at first. If it's out early next year though.. not gonna wait that long. TWotM was a 2023 read and a goated one for me. Hoping #2 comes out this year but with Stormlight #5 in December.. ah at this point I would guess a January or February 2025 date :( Only read two DC books and the rest are so far down my tbr now. Not sure if I will get to them. Sucks a bit because book one was incredible.

The bound and the broken is awesome. I am surprised by how much I like it! Will of the many was a refreshing read also, loved how he did it. Man, it really goes downhill after book 1… 2 and 3 are solid, but still not to the level of book 1. Arlen is still one of my favorite characters tho, guy is goated

@@FantasyandFitness I'm sure I'll love it. It seems to be the current booktube favorite series for huge epic fantasy atm, the same way Sun Eater is for scifi. Now I'm just going to read the new sequel to The Book That Wouldn't Burn but after that.. you've made me put Of Blood and Fire at the top of my tbr! Btw what did you think of Dior in EotD? I forgot to mention her before. I came to like her soooo much more in this one and was super invested in her story arc. It was incredible. And the ending.. holy shit man.

@@regulah2125 nice!! I’m cruising through Sun Eater, hoping to finish 2-3 of them this month. And yeah Dior really grew on me.. before learning who/what Dior truly was I didn’t really like her (like early on) but then once I learned everything.. yeah one of my favorites. The banter is awesome, the absolute willingness to sacrifice herself for others is amazing. The end of book 2 KILLED ME. I need that 3rd book idk what’s going on anymore - also, heard a lot about The Book That Wouldn’t Burn, you recommend it??

@@FantasyandFitness Absolutely. It's in my top 3 this year so far out of 14 books. But it's not an action heavy fantasy. It's more of a mystery in a fantasy setting. I needed something different after I binged all of Dungeon Crawler Carl which is just 110% pure fast paced action. It's a book that takes its time and slowly builds into a beautiful ending. I read that Kristoff is quite a way into book 3 already so the wait won't be as long this time!

I think so… I may wait until it’s finished though. I think it’s a trilogy, so just one more? Not positive, but I think so. I’ll probably get to it but it is definitely not high up on my list at all. Yourself?

@@FantasyandFitness It's a mixed bag for me, I find overall I'm enjoying it just a little more than the Demon Cycle only because I got tired of the pseudo-religious parts of those 5 books after a while, and he does get a bit more creative in those two while retaining a lot of what made Demon Cycle epic. But at the same time, there's a lot of stuff in there that really grated on my nerves, ha. Most of the new characters are an acquired taste.

@@FantasyandFitness It's been a hot minute since I read those . . . I remember thinking Inevera's was cool because it helped show us why she was so focused on building the empire that she did. And the one from the last book is stuck in my mind because we got to see things from a very unique perspective (avoiding spoilers, you know who I mean). I don't recall the others all that clearly. So based on those two, I think I have to say that I like them.
