I like your channel because you do books that are different and ones I've never heard of - not the usual ones on TikTok that I'm sick of seeing. Its refreshing and I like the way you discuss them. Very engaging! I actually went and bought Something Wicked This Way Comes because of your recommendation.

I’m glad someone else is so unashamed of having multiple Copies of their favorite books. I believe I have 6 different versions of Gardens of the Moon from Malazan book of the Fallen.

@BuriedUnderBooks If it's one of my favorite books, I probably have at least 2 copies.

This is beautifully presented and organised. Thank you for sharing.

What an amazing library, I love all the meaningful knick knacks. The impressionist seascape painting is beautiful, I tried doing a google image search of it and all I could discern is that it could be painted during 1940s or 1950s.

When you showed the Berserk shelf with the Nihei shelf right below it made me chuckle. I've just finished collecting the main run of the 6 Blame! Master Editions and am very frustrated to find the Blame! Master Edition 0 (which is a Master Edition print of the Blame! prequel NOiSE!) isn't in English - but to see such a complete english-language collection is nice to see. Once it's all in English I expect to fill out my Nihei collection and perhaps have a shelf that near-mirrors a fraction of your overall collection. All of those Folio Society editions boggles my mind - you could put a deposit on a house with those alone.

The sad thing is I would have more if I could afford to buy them more often 😕

At least one Saturday a month I play with my books. They all get rearranged. 😊

Ps, I love how you found those Dune books 'out in the wild'!!! Those are finds that stay with the heart!

This is fabulous. You have spoken directly to my bookish heart and brain. I still have genres in my little home library, but the randomness-with-purpose is speaking to my soul...

What an appropriate shirt! What a nice collection of manga, horror, classics, and sci-fi/fantasy. I love your dedication and such a beautiful library.

I sometimes stand on front of my bookshelf just pulling off books to look at the, and place them back. My wife doesn't get it, I'm not sure I get it, but it gets me.

Love your shelves! I’m trying to find a decent reading lamp because my eyes aren’t what they used to be.
@rammelbroadcastingАй бұрын
@pattic6077 Thanks! Man, I can't help you there. I don't have one myself, and the ones I saw recommended are just crazy expensive 😳

I loveee just reorganising our shelves but my partner has very specific organisation with our shelves lol. So we spent an entire day putting them all out so we were both happy
@rammelbroadcastingАй бұрын
Boy, that sounds like a struggle lol

I was inspired to rearrange my books while watching this. I don’t have anywhere near as many, but I moved all my nonfiction in with the fiction, by author of course. The only things on their own now are my graphic novels and old reference books.

Great library! I noticed in your Book of the New Sun shelf that you are missing "Urth of the New Sun". Have you read it? I can't recommend it enough, it is not just a book that answers questions but actually in it the background story of New Sun moves to the foreground and we see its conclusion play out in the novel. Some of the most beautiful scenes of New Sun are in that book. Book of the New Sun is my favorite book.
@rammelbroadcastingАй бұрын
@tasosalexiadis7748 actually no I haven't. I finished book of the new sun earlier this year and have not yet gotten the urth of the new sun. I will don't worry lol

The only thing more expensive than Folio Society books are out of print Folio Society books on the private market 😅 it's a dangerous hobby haha. I'm at about 50 Folio editions now. Literally addicted.

I love that our interests in books and manga are nearly identical. This is actually one of only 2 book channels I watch. This and media death cult if anyone has heard of that channel. Good sense of humor mostly focuses on science fiction

I notice you have the first Sun Eater book in hardcover, and the others in paperback. If you are interested the publisher just rereleased book #2 (Howling Dark) in hardcover and they are supposed to be releasing the rest of the OOP hardcovers in the series going forward.

Just want to let you know that book cover of The Man in the High Castle looks eerily similar to the Japanese imperial flag which is controversial to say the least, and having it just beside your face on camera might not be a good idea.
