Really a shame it can only be built one way. A kitbash should allow for the front door to be put away from the fireplace...

There's nothing to stop you swapping the walls around.

@@Battlesystems In this kit, however, only the door panel has the requisite lower slots for the chimney, though, correct? Still, it seems simple enough to cut the slot into a window wall panel, or to perhaps do a swap with the blacksmith kit to grab that wall opposite the chimney there (and who cares about the worktable), as it has the slots. Though, the wall won't match...
