Dooku basically still consistent to his idea even after join the dark side. Just like Qui-Gon, he see the flaw of what Jedi order system currently is. But unlike Qui-gon, he choice to take an exteme choice by joint the dark side to get more power to beat the current Jedi Order and create a new system from it, Palpatine also manipulating him and make him think they are at the same side, that why Dooku agree to Join and become a sith lord apperentice.

He wanted to kill him the moment he found him, but knew he couldn't, so he wanted to learn the dark to defeat him, and he never wanted to kill all the jedi or even one of them, he wanted to save them. I don't think Maul, Ashoka and Rex will never be able to deal with Sidious by themselves. But Maul can be a great help to deal with Vader (which, at this point, is very bold, brash and arrogant, which contrasts with Maul's more cold headed, tactical and experienced approach to the Dark Side) alongside Obi Wan, allowing them to hold him off while Ashoka and Rex assist 3PO with securing Padme inside her ship before Ashoka leaves to help Obi Wan and Maul finish Vader, finally getting Sidious' new apprentice disarmed and dismembered just before Maul noticed in the Force that Sidious (who decided to leave his duel with Yoda (which is not far behind him on his Starfighter, which was left intact in the raid on the Temple) unconcluded when he sensed the intensity of the Duel against Vader thanks to Maul's intervention) is arriving. This will make Obi Wan order Ahsoka to leave with Rex and Padme to Polis Massa while he and Maul hold Sidious off, both of them with reasons to deal with him personally (Maul because of the years of torture and the death of Savage and Obi Wan wanting to be the resolute Blade of Justice to bring down the very man that massacred the Jedi Order, caused the Clone Wars and corrupted Anakin) at least until Yoda arrives and joins the fight and it would be in this moment when Sidious would be fully overpowered since he was already tired from fighting Yoda on Coruscant (and he hasn't fully recovered from his Duel with Windu by the time he was fighting Yoda) with Maul and Yoda dealing the final push that will knock him towards his Ship, rendering him restrained long enough for Yoda to initiate the very ritual (that the Jedi used to sever Ulic-Quel-Dorma's connection with the Force) to end Sidious' brief rein of terror as Emperor, at the cost of his own life since he basically had to serve as a conduit to chanel all that Force Energy required (in a display of Force that will shock Obi Wan, Maul, and even the weakened Anakin to the core as well as cleansing the latter 2 from the Dark Side's toxic influence in their souls (despite not being in the receiving end) and will be felt by Jedi all around the Galaxy) leaving him a few minutes before he joins the Force himself. Obi Wan and the newly cleansed Maul then take their leave from Mustafar with what remained of Anakin Skywalker which would be then refitted with cybernetics and then tried along with Palpatine's Collaborators by the newly restored senate led by Organa and Mothma and then sentenced to life imprisonment for all his crimes while Padme leaves to care for her children which would be trained by Obi Wan in the Force

Too be honest I don’t think Palpatine ever had what it takes to be a jedi, being a jedi is more than just force potential it’s about serving others and keeping the peace, Palpatines very nature was completely contradictory to the Jedi principles and im sure the council would have sensed that before he was even taken as a padawan let alone make it to jedi knight, no at the very least he would have received basic training as a youngling then most likely would have been thrown out by the age of 11 for multiple counts of conspiracy and disorderly conduct in which case he would return to his family on naboo and either live out his life as a politician or enter the sith order like he did in canon.

I know that the Dark Side of the force can change the user's appearance but usually not quite as dramatically as the likes of Snoke and Sion. Snoke's head is Bulbous in size, yes; but not Vertically elongated like Plagueis' and his nose is quite different from his too, but we only see this in Snoke's Dark Side appearance; but I imagine that if he was in his normal Jedi appearance, he would've probably have an almost gaunt skull like face but with a short elfin/goblin-like nose instead of a shriveled little snipe of a nose but his head would still be as big as "Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass" Red Queen of Hearts Iracebeth's head. I have seen the Side by Side pictures myself and I understand that much that the two Sith lords look nothing alike even if we are looking at just the altered face of Snoke, but he is certainly not the altered face of Palpatine's old master. I know everyone claims, believes, theorizes and says that Snoke and Plagueis are the same character or one is the clone of the other, but Plagueis was not the one who cloned himself; Snoke did clone his own self, why else does Snoke look centuries older than Plagueis❔ And it is quite possible that Palpatine in the usual timeline managed to kill off Plagueis before the former Dark Master would have the Idea for a time to come to clone himself. It is clear to me that Snoke knew more Sith secrets than Plagueis did. I knew Palpatine was lying to Anakin Skywalker in "Revenge of the Sith"(He {Shive Palpatine} always sounds like he likes to hear himself talk than be 💯% with the facts), when he was giving Plagueis credit for such knowledge, he also lied about the possibility to heal everyone through the power of the Dark side of the force, and that Plagueis also had such knowledge but that was a lie too. As we should all know by now that you can only have the lightside power of force healing through experience and have full commitment to Master the power of the Lightside of the force, even if you were only a lightside at just shy of 50% of your alignment power. Ray got her healing powers by circumstance and her over all drive to stay in the light of all that she cares about that we see her strive for throughout the sequel trilogy.

Dooku is one of my favorite because he was honest the whole time, the Jedi order was the problem in their one sided only, think about how many times if they weren’t so stuck on shutting down your feelings and ignoring dark side, if they weren’t so afraid of it What would have changed in anakins life, dooku, all of them

My thinking, since Palpatine is with the order, this just delays Plaguis’ plan and HE frees Anakin by killing his mother and over paying Watto for him. He would train Anakin as a politician and a Sith, using mind tricks and other dark tactics to become the youngest Chancellor running against his political rival Padme.
