DIC's vocal tracks tend to remind me of OTHER pieces of music. "Call my name and I'll be there" sounds like the F. R. I. E. N. D. S. theme. "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" is literally a cover of a song from the Beatles. And now THIS track sounds like "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" from Milli Vanilli. Or "Please don't go, girl" from New Kids on the Block.

It's funny you say that. I hear elements of Madonna's "Vogue" in "I wanna be a star". And from the second soundtrack, I think "I want someone to love" borrows a lot from Janet Jackson's "If".

This sounds different from the TV version, like most of the tracks on the album. I’m guessing that that the songs were redone for the soundtrack; “Only a Memory Away” was completely rewritten.

​@@DracoInduperator It's episode 48 from the DIC dub. The episode where Rei throws a concert, where she first sings "Call my name and I'll be there" and at the end she sings "Oh, Starry Night". It's from the Cardians arc (the first arc from the beggining of season R). That said, the version used in the episode is a different version of the song. It's like a different draft. The instrumentation, vocals and even the lyrics are slightly different from the soundtrack version.
